Rent a splendid 40-foot (11.97 m x 7.25 m) boat (2012), in excellent condition, fully equipped for offshore cruising. Ideal for a cruise with friends, family, a bachelorette party, a corporate retreat, etc. Owner's version - 3 double cabins plus the skipper's cabin. 2 spacious bathrooms with hot water, electric toilets, and large closets. Washing machine with shore power connection. You'll appreciate its self-sufficiency with its watermaker, 3 solar panels, wind turbine, 12V/220V inverter, and additional batteries, giving you greater autonomy while at anchor. Departing from Martigues/Carro (departing from Marseille for trips of one week or more), explore the Côte Bleue, the Calanques, and the islands of Marseille (national park), Carry-le-Rouet, Sausset-les-Pins, Cassis, Bandol, La Ciotat, Hyères, the islands of Porquerolles, Port-Cros... Other sailing trips available upon request. This catamaran offers ample space, a spacious indoor and outdoor saloon well-protected from the sun, a large trampoline for sunbathing, and a fully equipped galley with oven, microwave, refrigerator, large freezer, and complete tableware. Two televisions with CD player and USB ports (12V/220V) are available (one in the saloon and one in the cabin). Heating is provided in the saloon and cabins for cooler evenings during the off-season. At the stern, a staircase and swim ladder provide easy access to the water. An outdoor shower allows you to rinse off with fresh water after swimming. 1 large Hypalon dinghy with a 10hp outboard motor for added comfort during your shore excursions. A huge thank you to Dominique and Jean-Luc for their advice, their welcome, and their enthusiasm. We were lucky to have good weather despite it being late September. Jean-Luc's suggestions for making the most of our trip were excellent. Jean-Luc is a great host, always ready to share and help you discover his beautiful region, but he also knows how to be discreet at other times. It was a real pleasure, and we will definitely return for a longer trip next time.
What an incredible week! We (six adults) sailed from Luxembourg to Martigues, where we boarded the Altair catamaran for a week of sailing along the southern coast of France. Upon our arrival in Martigues, we were warmly welcomed by Jean Luc and his wife Dominique. Once settled into our respective cabins, Dominique showed us the onboard equipment and explained the rules of life on a boat. We said our goodbyes to Dominique, and Jean Luc led us on our adventure. The group consisted of three experienced sailors and three complete novices. Jean Luc was very attentive to this diversity and had already advised us, before departure, to bring seasickness medication :-) While the sun gods were with us, the wind gods were a little more... enthusiastic! But Jean Luc steered his boat with confidence, professionalism, and always paid special attention to the three beginners on board. In short, we had an extraordinary week—a unique experience of the sea, from the sea. We were lucky enough to encounter dolphins, and even a whale that breached next to the Altair ?. Jean Luc is an exceptional host and captain—full of experience and fascinating stories, and we spent a whole week enjoying each other's company, both at the dock and on the open sea. The catamaran is equipped with every necessary comfort, and it's easy to get your bearings. The week went by so quickly, and we hope to go on another adventure with Jean Luc in the future. We spent 3 days (2 nights) at sea with Jean-Luc, who masterfully juggled our demands with the somewhat unpredictable weather. Our only regret is that it was too short!
We set off as a family of 5 and had a wonderful 7-day sea holiday. Jean-Luc is a great skipper, knows the coastline perfectly, is professional, and was able to adapt our itinerary according to the weather and our anchorage requests, all in a great atmosphere! Very satisfied with the boat and the services of Jean Luc and Dominique. The boat is very comfortable and very well maintained. Definitely recommended for a week or longer with 5 or 6 people. The tips and knowledge of JL ensure a great holiday in a beautiful sailing area. The communication and tips for, among other things, the meals on board beforehand certainly helped. We cannot thank Jean Luc enough for sailing the boat back after our 14-day holiday on board, due to the bad weather that continued (Mistral) in the Marseille - Toulon area we sailed further instead of having to return the boat to Martigues.

The upstream communication with Dominique his wife was very fluid and helped us to finalize the preparations.
