Built in the Henri Wauquiez shipyards, designed by Kim Holman & Donald Pye, the Amphitrite is a classic boat with a family travel concept. The boat is a sturdy ketch, equipped with a huge and very comfortable central cockpit, a large dinette that can be transformed into a double bed and a double bow cabin with an adjoining toilet, the stern cabin is reserved for the owner. The exteriors are large and leave room for a lot of privacy. It is a very seaworthy boat and very sweet on the waves, its robustness, its internal volumes and the ketch rig make it a perfect boat for a romantic trip in comfort. It was completely refitted in 2023, making it a boat ready for any trip. Davits for the tender and sup, 4 solar panels, 200lt/h watermaker, hot water in the bathrooms and external shower, cockpit with comfortable sponge cushions, large bimini for the cockpit and awning at the stern, 4kw generator, Webasto heating, radar, AIS, all new B&G instruments with latest generation cartographic, 450lt water tanks, drinking water produced on board. The boat was purchased in 2022 and from that moment it has been the object of deep care until 2024. The boat is used almost exclusively for private purposes by us, we are a couple who strongly believed in a life project at sea, we do not always live on the boat but it is our life.

Ho vissuto in diversi paesi e parlo fluentemente inglese ed italiano, ho una buona conoscenza del tedesco perché il mio lavoro principale mi ha portato in Germania per molti anni. La mia più grande passione, la vela, è iniziata negli anni 90 con amici marinai esperti e le uscite con le loro barche, poi nel 2004 ho iniziato a fare regate di altura e regate di lunga durata, in 10 anni ho fatto le ossa e un esperienza velica notevole. Nel 2012 ho acquistato la mia prima barca, una Ziggurat 995 del 1982 che ho completamente refittata nei 9 anni che l’ho avuta. Nel 2021 ho acquistato l’attuale Kitz una Wauquiez Amphitrite del 1976, anche lei ha subito un rigoroso refit nei primi 3 anni ed ora è pronta per qualsiasi tipo di navigazione. Il progetto principale è poter navigare tutto il mediterraneo e visitare luoghi a me sconosciuti, conoscere le culture e usanze locali ed incontrare nuove persone con una storia unica come la mia.
