Among the 115 islands that make up the Seychelles, the 41 Inner Islands are the granite islands, the oldest on Earth. The remaining 74 islands - the Outer Islands - are coral type. The Inner Islands, notably Praslin and La Digue, are close to the main island, Mahé.
