Hello everyone! We offer the opportunity to rent our cozy and retro Friendship28 for the ultimate sense of freedom and a carefree and unique outdoor experience on Dutch waters (with or without children). She is fully equipped with good handling characteristics, plenty of interior space, and 5 berths. UKIYO - literally "the floating world" - living in the moment, detached from the worries of life. Layout (from bow to stern): * two berths in the bow (lockable cabin with skylight). * Toilet/washbasin and large cupboard * Coffee table with two large sofas that can be converted into two separate beds * Small kitchenette with camping gas stove and accessories (cooking utensils, crockery, etc.) * Navigation table with navigation charts (albeit 5 years old) * Dog crate with extra (5th) sleeping place * Spacious cockpit with benches, a large trunk, and cockpit cushions Note: Our boat was built in 1983 and is an old, but solid and nice boat! Don't expect a sparkling white deck or supersonic equipment, but rather fine sailing characteristics, exactly what is needed, and a bit of coziness ? We look forward to your message!

We had a wonderful holiday. Nice boat, sails well. Despite engine problems, we still had a great time. This was especially because the owner resolved them quickly and efficiently for us. I highly recommend this boat and its owners.
Very nice sailing boat, somewhat older and therefore with character. Feels like home. We enjoyed it immensely for 3 days. Nice location to sail from Warns towards Heeg and Woudsend or to be able to choose the IJsselmeer. Communication with Marieke and Michel good, fast and very pleasant. We would like to sail again.

Marieke and Michel were extremely friendly and helpful, despite a major family event occurring during the charter. Ukiyo, their 1987 Friendship28, was true to the description. Not in its first flush of youth... But seaworthy, functional, and very clean. At the end of the voyage, the mainsail unfortunately tore, and we were very sorry for Marieke and Michel, but it was at the end of its life... Nevertheless, we highly recommend chartering their sailboat.
We spent three wonderful days on the boat. The Friendship 28 is a sleek boat with excellent sailing characteristics. I'll rent the boat again and I'm already looking forward to it. The only criticism is that there were no life jackets on board. The owners were great and seem to be very nice people.
Nice friendly landlord, punctual and fast! We had a wonderful long weekend, the beginning was a bit rough, but through quick communication the problem was solved quickly and painlessly and we were still able to fully enjoy our sailing trip! Thank you! ?
Cozy and friendly boat, a bit outdated but that makes it very atmospheric. Sails properly. Had a wonderful long weekend on the IJsselmeer!
We had a great week on the water. It is a nice sailboat and we knew it was a bit older. Draft is 160cm and is therefore less suitable for all lakes in Friesland. If the depth meter does not work, you have to pay attention.

Great boat and very nice landlord. We had a wonderful time between Heeg and Hindeloopen. An old boat, so everything is a bit quaint and old but fully functional and with a lot of charm. Thank you very much!

Hoi! Wij zijn Michel en Marieke, 35 en 36 jaar oud en de eigenaren van een Friendship28. Marieke heeft als kind leren zeilen in een Optimist, een Flits en later in de Valk. Ze heeft meer dan 10 jaar ervaring als zeilinstructeur en zeilcoach bij een zeilschool en zeilvereniging. Michel is een echter windsurfer en heeft meerdere zeezeilcursussen gedaan. Samen zijn we fanatiek watersporters. Met een jong druk gezin ligt onze boot er helaas vaak ongebruikt bij, en dat is zonde. UKIYO is het ultieme vrijheidsgevoel op het water, en dat willen we graag delen. Ook halen we met verhuur onze kosten van het havengeld en onderhoud er een beetje uit. We noemen UKIYO ook wel "onze caravan op het water", een vakantiehuisje dat ook nog eens heel goed kan zeilen! :)
