In case of unexpected 6–7 Beaufort winds, be aware that they charge an extra €70–80 if you return the boat to a different port in Aegina than the one you picked it up from, giving you the dilemma: ‘either you pay or you bring it back to the original port’ (risking your life, of course). OWNERS RESPONSE: The client came with his friends and they rented the boat that doesn’t require a license. As th owner, my main priority is always to ensure that people who rent my boats enjoy their time in the sea, stay safe, and return the boats in good condition. I always check the weather forecast, and that day it predicted strong winds after 5 p.m. (4bt and not 6-7 that client says because in case of 5bt I would never have allowed the boat to go out). This was something the renter had also seen; we had discussed it and agreed that at that time they would stay somewhere nearby (within the bay where the drop-off point is located) so they wouldn’t be inconvenienced and could return safely. At 6 p.m., however, I received a call saying they were leaving from a place at least 30 minutes away from the drop-off point, and that there were strong winds, making it dangerous for them to return. The only safe option for them was to head to another nearby port, but I explained from the beginning that there would be an extra charge of 70€ because that location is far away from the original drop-off point. The whole issue arose because they didn’t follow the plan we had agreed on. If they had returned at the agreed time, I wouldn’t have had to leave my work and drive 40 minutes away, and they wouldn’t have had to pay extra. This is how I make my living, and the inconvenience caused by this situation was significant: I couldn’t bring the boat back to base the same day, I had to wait until the winds calmed the next day, I had to pay money to the port that I left the boat all night long and all this delayed service for my next customer and risk of losing the next rental because the boat wasn’t ready at the agreed time.

We had a great time on the water. Thanasis and Victoria were really kind and helpful. Communication was great. It was really nice to see the island by boat and to swim wherever we wanted.

Beautiful boat and very friendly owner. We rented the boat with 5 people for 4 hours and had a wonderful day on the coast
