Dear river friend, I suggest you rent our Tarpon 42 boat thanks to which you will be able to sail with your loved ones on French inland waters. The Tarpon 42 is a boat to pilot yourself and without a license, which has 4 cabins: - 1 forward cabin with a double berth and a single bed - 1 central cabin with a double berth - 1 aft port cabin with a double berth - 1 starboard aft cabin with 3 single berths including 2 superimposed In addition, the saloon can be transformed into an extra double berth. The maximum capacity of this boat is 12 people. On the sanitary side, the boat has 2 showers, 4 sinks and 2 toilets, 1 of which is separate. The boat has an equipped kitchenette and an outdoor lounge to enjoy the beautiful sunny days on the water in complete relaxation. We thoroughly enjoyed our boating experience on the Canal du Midi, especially learning to use the locks and taking in the beautiful scenery. The kitchen was well equipped and we were pleasantly surprised by the fridge freezer capacity. However we were expecting a more modern boat (2018 as stated in the confirmation) and found Moby Dick tired and not very clean. In terms of comfort we were only 6 adults and thought this should ideally be the maximum especially given the poorly functioning toilets. There was also confusion over whether or not we could drink the water and over the use or not of toilet paper (we were told not to by the instructor on both counts and despite adhering to this we had to get a technician after only 1 and 1/2 days sailing. Thankfully this was dealt with promptly and very well in Homps. With regards to hot water for showering we found only 4 people could shower each morning before the water went cold, therefore with a maximum of 12, in our opinion this would be an unpleasant experience. 220 volt was only available with shore power and the parasols were not fit for purpose. In general we felt that the description in our agreement did not match what we were expecting.
