Description of Laura's houseboat
Houseboat New Con Fly First 40hp
** Prices refer to weekly rentals. Shorter rentals are available upon request with a minimum stay of 3 nights (price subject to change).** This Italian-built boat is suitable for river and lagoon navigation, but is also certified for coastal navigation. Ideal for a large family or a group of friends, the NCF First is a welcoming houseboat with spacious and comfortable interiors. The bow features two double cabins equipped with wardrobes and drawers. Two bathrooms are located: one with a shower, sink, and toilet; the second with an electric toilet only. The large windows in the saloon allow for plenty of natural light. This is where the first helm station, a radio/CD player, and the dinette, which converts into a double bed and a single bunk bed, are located. The galley is fully equipped with a stovetop, oven, 130-liter refrigerator, and plenty of storage space. The second helm station on the flybridge is covered by an awning and offers optimal visibility. Outside, the large sundeck stands out at the bow, while the comfortable cockpit is located at the stern. The convenient rear platform makes access to the boat from the mooring extremely easy. The New Con Fly First boat is equipped with a directional bow thruster. GENERAL CONDITIONS 1. The Renter must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid boating license. He or she will be directly responsible for all belongings entrusted to him or her. Upon boarding, identification is required. RVF reserves the right to restrict independent navigation to those who demonstrate insufficient reliability. 2. Booking changes. All booking changes made by the Renter from the date of confirmation up to 8 weeks before the departure date will incur a "file fee" of €150 per change. Less than 8 weeks before the embarkation date, all changes may be made by prior arrangement with the Lessor. 3. Cancellation by RVF. If, due to unforeseeable and uncontrollable circumstances, RVF is unable to provide the Renter with the reserved boat, it will be obligated to find a replacement vessel with approximately the same characteristics. In the event of total impossibility, RVF will immediately refund any amounts received without any further obligation. 4. Insurance. Insurance coverage includes accidental damage to the boat and equipment, civil liability to third parties and passengers, medical transportation in the event of injury or illness, and recovery of the boat. The policy does not cover theft or damage to the Renter's valuables and personal belongings. RVF declines all liability for any theft, loss, or damage to the Renter's property. 5. Deposit. A security deposit must be paid by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) on the day of arrival at the base, before boarding. This amount will be held for a maximum of 21 days to cover any damages and/or obligations to third parties. Security deposit amount or reduced security deposit as per price list. 6. Assistance/Accident. The rental price includes assistance in the event of a breakdown. RVF undertakes to ensure this assistance in the best possible manner and promptly. Reimbursement will only be required for interventions due to the Lessee's negligence (unclogging the toilet, replacing the bow thruster fuse, etc.) or in the event of a stranding. The Lessee must promptly report any accident or damage to RVF by telephone and will refrain from taking any action not dictated by urgency. The Lessee, who is the cause or victim of an accident, a stranding, or the occurrence of unforeseeable engine or equipment problems, will not be entitled to any reimbursement from RVF if the cruise may be compromised. 7. Boarding. The boat will be available to the Lessee for boarding formalities from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on the scheduled day. The following formalities will be completed in order of arrival: registration of a "Captain's" document; payment of the deposit; signing of the onboard inventory and inspection of the boat's condition; technical instructions for the use of all the various components on the boat; review of the nautical charts, obligations, advice, and navigation tips; and a short test drive. Subject to availability and agreement with the base, early check-in is possible starting at 11:00 AM for a fee of €80. 8. Disembarkation. The boat must be returned and vacated by 9:00 a.m. on the last day of the rental, in good order and clean condition. The Lessee agrees to report to RVF all lost or damaged equipment and anything not in perfect working order. Any dents or scratches to the hull must be clearly highlighted. RVF reserves the right to request reimbursement from the Lessee for any inconvenience caused by abandoning the boat during the cruise. In the event of late return, RVF will charge a half-day or full rental fee. It is recommended to return to the base for an overnight stay the evening before. 9. Rules for using the boat. Adequate information and adequate operating and navigation instructions (including practical instructions) will be provided by RVF before setting sail. The Lessee must comply with the regulations for inland and coastal navigation, as well as any instructions issued by the Lessor or competent authorities. Overall rating
Smooth communication. Great value for money.
We had a lot of fun. There were five of us, only two with some experience at sea, none with a license. It was certainly a more adventurous experience than I expected, but definitely a positive one. Thanks to Ilaria, Luigi, and Zuè for their valuable explanations and advice.
Uncomplicated communication and a friendly welcome including a detailed explanation of the boat and the route. Boating holidays in the Venice Lagoon are the perfect mix between responsibility and relaxation. The boat's battery did not last as long as expected, but otherwise the condition of the boat was okay for the price paid.
The communication, handover and return went very well. The lagoon area is worth seeing. MANKOS: The mattresses were very hard, and the driving style of other skippers at night leads to massive collisions with the attachment. The boat is supposed to be seaworthy, but is no longer easy to maneuver even in calm seas. Too expensive for that.
