Nearby where the boat is docked, you can find a lot of traditional Istrian restaurants and outdoor concerts in the summer season. Isola is a good starting point if you want to visit Slovenian coast, especially the famous church on the cliff in Piran, which is approximately 20 km from Izola. The Italian city of Trieste is close too, and it's one of the most touristic cities in the region with its Roman monuments and famous castle Miramar. I suggest visiting the small city of Grado, located in the lagoon on the Italian side of the Gulf of Trieste. The voyage is approximately 6 hours long from the starting point.
