A thoroughly delightful afternoon spent on our V2 V2 boat. Excellent for climbing on and off. The company sent a location pin and we’re easy to find in harbour. Welcomed and detail given was clear and good. Can’t recommend this enough. We explored the north section and saw fabulous fish and beautiful bays that were a delight to swim in. Helpfully ordered a taxi for us to return to Alcudia. Fuel use was fair and came in at €20
Quite a disappointing experience. We supposedly rented a boat with a 40 hp engine, but we ended up with a Selva 15XS engine, so we didn't need a license. The rental company told us it was indeed a 40cc, that they restrict the engine with a disc system. It's like restricting a more powerful engine to a less powerful one, I understand, the other way around, someone really needs to explain to me. Especially since we found a sign under the cushions: "Rent me, boat without a license" and a map indicating the areas not to be exceeded with this boat because the engine was not powerful enough. In addition, there were a few waves that day, and we were really restricted by the engine's power. No effort from the rental company; we paid for our diesel on arrival. Communication was cordial but quite minimal. You have to ask questions to get advice on places to visit. Mixed experience as a result, especially since another rental company just across the street was offering 150 hp boats for the same price. From now on, I will first consult the different rental companies on site before renting with a connection platform like Click&Boat.
