Our boat carries a rich history that dates back to 1944 when it began being built in Thessaloniki, next to the Chomata shipyard, by Skiathian shipwrights. The keel was placed that year, and the construction was completed in 1948, amidst the Greek Civil War. The boat was named Agia Paraskevi, but those who knew it called it “Paraskevoula.” Initially, it operated as a trawler, with a Axylo engine, a floco, and a mainsail, while the rear part was of the “liana” type. Imagine exploring secluded beaches and hidden coves, accessible only by sea, aboard your very own traditional wooden boat. About me I grew up with sailing — my family has owned our traditional yacht since 1970, and I’ve been on the water since I was 6 years old. I raced Optimist, Laser 470, 49er, Tornado and Catamaran, and since 16 I’ve been part of the Hellenic National Sailing Team. I’m definitely a sailboat person — racing, coaching, and cruising are all part of my life. For the past 9 years I’ve been working professionally as a skipper, sailing in many parts of the world. I’m also a certified Sailing Coach (Category A). Now I’ve taken over my father’s yacht and combine my racing background with chartering and coaching to create unique sailing experiences.
