Boat rental in Athens · Beneteau — Oceanis Clipper 423 (2005)

We spent two very pleasant weeks aboard Aeanon. The boat is old but very well maintained, very maneuverable even in strong winds, and everything worked perfectly. The contact with Stavros was excellent and friendly, both during the pick-up and return of the boat. I would rent this boat again without hesitation if I were to return to this region.

First of all I would like to say that it is a fantastic boat. The new owners have only had it for a year and still have to invest some time to finish the boat. We sailed with it for two weeks in the Cyclades and even in strong gusts of wind it continues to sail well. plus points: • Boat steers great in reverse, which makes frequent anchoring enjoyable and safe • The interior finish is classic but beautifully executed. • Fridge with freezer compartment works well. Lid is rattling/broken but does work. Watch out for extra damage if you do not open it carefully. I assume they will repair that. • Communication and support with the owners via Whatsapp was very pleasant. Do not hesitate to ask for information about which port to choose on which island. Very useful feedback and support. The last 2 days the response time was a bit slower. I do not know what the reason was but it must have something to do with logistics ? cons • Advertised air conditioning did not work (after 2 minutes without really cooling the fuses blow). That really needs to be removed from the ad until it is repaired. It was a real shame because we knew it could be +40C (and it was) so that really reduced our enjoyment because sleeping was sometimes impossible (outside it didn't get below 30 degrees at night either) • The plotter in the cockpit was broken and/or not present. With great difficulty I used my own tablet (with trial version of Navionics) which did not survive the trip due to the salty spray. For safety in unknown waters I find a plotter in the cockpit absolutely necessary because the presence of shallows and rocks are unpredictable in this area and you need live information. Points of attention • In the fore cabin there were 1 or more small leaks (on the hull side) which probably only cause inconvenience with a lot of spray. A few clothes got wet but once we knew where the leak was we didn't have much trouble with it anymore and they promised that they would look into this for the next renter. • Furling is a bit stiff but works well otherwise. They looked into it but apparently the solution was not sufficient and they have to look further. General: When returning the boat, there appeared to be scratches in the wood in the fore cabin. We had not noticed these nor could we imagine how we could have caused them. In the end, we agreed in good consultation that this could be crossed off against the damage of my broken tablet. The owners were very happy with the feedback, according to their own words, so that they can make this beautiful ship even more beautiful. All in all, the price-quality ratio can be good if the above drawbacks are resolved. During the price negotiations, I would ask for a guarantee or something like that. If I sail in this area again, I will definitely come back to them. A great experience.

We traveled with Aenaon 5 adults and our daughter. The comfort was very great in proportion to the size of the boat. We received it spotlessly clean and ready for immediate shipping. The owners have equipped it with everything that can offer comfort and intimacy. It is very reliable in sailing and very comfortable in handling even though no extra aids. The owners were available whenever needed with advice and suggestions depending on the weather. It will definitely be on our first search on our next trip
