Avoid This Scam on Water – False Advertising at Its Finest If you’re in the market for a day of disappointment, discomfort, and diesel fumes, this is the boat for you. We booked this charter with the expectation of a clean, comfortable experience as advertised—what we got was something closer to a floating garbage barge. Let’s start with the “cleaning.” The boat arrived fresh off another rental, and we watched the extent of “sanitizing” happen in real-time: a table wipe and a trash toss. That’s it. The bathrooms? One didn’t work. The interior? Filthy. The cups? Still dirty from the last guests. The smell? Think warm diesel, damp cabin, and broken dreams. Now, let’s talk air conditioning. This was one of the main reasons we chose this listing—traveling with a five-year-old and someone prone to motion sickness. The AC never worked. Apparently, it only works when the boat is plugged in at port (boat does not have a working generator), which isn’t mentioned anywhere in the listing. But don’t worry—the owner assures you that you “won’t need it” because, in his words, he can’t imagine why anyone would use the cabin during a day charter. Great logic. Next up: the dinghy. The listing promises one, but when we wanted to go ashore, we were told it couldn’t be used and due to “regulations,” we couldn’t go any closer to the beach. So don’t be fooled by that little amenity either—it’s just for show (left in the garage back at port) and get ready to thread water for hours. Oh, and the cherry on top? Despite the listing and FAQs clearly stating that fuel is included, we were charged an additional fee (800€…) because we dared to ask to go beyond a 3-mile radius. Silly us for assuming “included” meant included. As a final insult, when we raised these concerns, the host responded by gaslighting us, defending every broken feature as our fault, and even accused us of stealing ham. Yes, ham. When in doubt, attack the charcuterie. We paid over €2,100 for this disaster—and frankly, if there’s any justice in the world, we’ll be refunded a good portion of it. Until then, heed this warning: stay far, far away from this boat, this listing, and this host. Unless you enjoy being lied to, overcharged, and insulted—then by all means, book now.
It’s great boat! The booking process was excellent and very good communication! The skipper is very kind and helpful! Can recommend it if you are looking for a super relaxing time on the water
Was only on boat 30 minutes. We were brought to open water and docked there. The waves were so bad we couldn’t even stand. We were not brought to a calm area of the ocean like we typically are on yachts. Read the bad reviews here and stay away.
Great guy
Great experience! Will come again :)
Overall it was okay but disappointing. 1. The boat never goes above 8 knots. I asked the skipper and he said he’s not allowed in order to save on fuel. 2. We went very close to Barcelona, in Montgat, where the beach and the sea is not so great. Garraf, Sitges, Castel, all beautiful spots and he takes us to a standard beach. 3. The boat is in poor conditions and poorly maintained. Dirty cutlery in the kitchen, smelly toilets, lots of random stuffs everywhere. 4. Everything is to pay. Paddle : You pay. Wakeboard, you have to pay. No snorkel gear or any toy available, 5. They booked for us a jetski and flyboard experience. The company was late and he didn’t inform the jetski company that I had my licence, so they came with the “kids” jetski that doesn’t go above 40km/h. Also since the jetski was late, I was asked to pay more because the time will extend. 6. The skipper was very young and inexperienced. He wasn’t smart of proactive. 7. No water, no drinks, no snacks, nothing. I would not recommend considering the price.
Ad matches the description. The boat was perfect. The skipper, Aljandro, was also great. I recommend this service, which truly lived up to our expectations. I will return to this boat with this skipper without hesitation.
We were a group of 10 men, had a great skipper, and had an excellent restaurant recommendation. A fantastic day. We'll be back. Highly recommended for celebrations.
We had a great time on the boat. The sea wasn't the best for sailing, but other than that, everything was perfect. The boat was in perfect condition. The guy who accompanied us was very nice, always willing to help us, and friendly. 10/10.
Excellent! The boat as expected and what is shown in the photos. Captain Xavi super friendly, helpful and cool. I will definitely repeat and recommend the experience! I do recommend being clear when organizing and leaving everything in writing in the chat because they handle many outings and we had to go over some things we talked about on the phone at the last minute, it went well anyway.
