Let me start by saying, BOOK Aegean Blue Cruise (Aykut) NOW, lol. Do not hesitate or wait, the Team is amazing, kind and looked after us like we were old friends. We were a party of 6 and had the most amazing trip. Capt. J, Auykut, Chef Sinan, and Deckhand Bahadir, made our trip so special and memorable. We highly recommend them. Pros: - The food was impeccable, so tasty, we all looked forward to the chow bell every day. We had a passenger with a severe food allergy and they were happy to cook to her needs. Most meals, all plates were licked clean by end of the meal, so good. - The boat accommodated our wish to purchase drinks on our own and even offered to purchase them for us at cost, saving us so much time and headache (not a Turkish speaker amongst us) - The rooms were clean and beds comfy, although most of us slept on the deck under the stars (highly recommended) - Capt J, took us to a new locale everyday, sometimes we moved around more than once so we could see other islands. - The boat has a great ladder and dive platform, making getting in and out of the water fun and easy. - Our drinks were always cold (must have) - Weather was perfect. - Transport from the airport is easy and there is a taxi stand just up the street from the boat, so you don’t have to drag bags forever to get a return taxi. Taxi’s are metered and they are honest and fair. - If you must, the boat has WIFI and it’s consistent and strong. Things I wish I knew before we arrived: - The boat can easily sleep 6, but only has 5 “rooms”, 4 at the front which each have a queen bed, and 1 at the back that has two “full” beds in an “L” shape. - We were 4 single people and 1 couple so the 5 “rooms” weren’t a problem for us, but had each person expected their own room/bath it could have caused an issue - If you are 2-to a room, one of the people will end up sleeping with a low ceiling above them. Again, the deck has a HUGE sleeping area, which most of us preferred anyway, so three of us only used our rooms to store our gear. - You have to purchase the meal plan (3-meals a day (B+L+D) or 2-meals (L+D), doesn’t mean you can’t bring snacks, special foods, etc…) that said, the meals were freshly prepared, delicious and SOOO worth it. - Boat Tip (cash only) is a minimum of 13% and will be calculated based on the cost of the boat+cost of meals. I would say they should get a minimum of 15%, they’re that good. Mama J, Aykut, Chef and Bahadir, thank you from the bottom of our hearts, we had a blast!! Hope to see you again next year.

If you are looking for a boat cruise with friends, look no further! Just stayed a week with the Aegean Blue Cruise and we had a great time. The food was delicious, very varied and healthy. The quantities were quite large. The crew is very helpful and friendly. Our last day was too windy to go anywhere so we had to stay in Bodrum. The crew gave us tips on things to do, like a Turkish hammam and helped us with rebooking our ferry. The lounge area is enormous and very comfortable, perfect for reading a book or playing games. All the rooms had their own bathrooms which felt very luxurious. The beds were a little narrow but fine for a boat. Drinks were not included, only some coffee or tea at breakfast, lunch or dinners. We advise you to bring your own drinks and snacks because everything on the boat is a little expensive. The crew is fine with you buying your own, they will even help you to a supermarket and will cool the drinks for you! There are some extra activities on the boat like fishing or water scootering which you can rent for an extra charge. We could use the canoe for free. The crew brought us to amazing bays with beaches, clear blue water and fishes. It's perfect for a swim. It was a week in paradise, food was amazing and the hospitality was great!

We had an AMAZING time on board the Aegean Blue Cruise boat. We had 3 of us on board for one week sailing the Gulf of Gokova with Tank, chef Jay and captain Shandy. We arrived to a beautiful platter and home made lemonade. The crew were amazing, super friendly and we got to know them all as friends. The places we visited were amazingly beautiful with crystal clear water and the crew were flexible if we wanted to stay in one place longer for swimming etc. The food was delicious and included traditional Turkish cuisine as well as classic meals which were always fresh and tasty. We had a great trip on this boat! The boat is very comfortable and has all the amenities you would expect. The crew was extremely nice and helpful and left the boat to us as much as possible. The food they cooked was very good, great Mediterranean cuisine. We weren’t aware that the food costs extra but that you have no choice but to take it. In the end the price is still good though and we really enjoyed our time and would go again.

Unfortunately our experience left much to be desired. The boat was well priced, but we were overcharged for extras excessively so felt like we were constantly being nickeled and dimmed. Not the feeling you’re looking for while on vacation. We booked the boat for 3 days/3 nights in August 2023. When we reserved months earlier, they told us we could bring our own food but not drinks, and that drinks would be "reasonably” priced. We agreed. However, a month before the trip, they informed us we had two options for food: paying €65/person-day for meals or paying €65/person-day to bring our own food for them to cook. This means they charged €65 regardless, even though the reservation stated service was included. To avoid conflict, we accepted. Upon arrival, we were allowed to bring some outside liquor but not water or other drinks. We were therefore forced to buy tiny bottles of water during the entire trip - this just felt wrong, both for our wallets and the environment. Each water bottle was €1.50, somewhat pricey but reasonable if it was a normal size. This was not the case, each bottle was tiny, 20cl, so everyone had to buy 15 euros worth of these tiny bottles each day to stay hydrated. This just felt wrong, especially considering water isn’t a luxury but a basic human right needed to stay alive - we wouldn’t have mind being gouged for beers or cokes but the tiny bottles of water was too much. Meanwhile the crew on the boat had multiple 5 gallon jugs of water on board. They said this wasn’t enough for us but several were full bottles were left at the end of the trip. In spite of multiple requests to at least serve us water with meals none was made available to us. Additionally, since the boat includes fuel, they try to optimize its use, resulting in a limited route with mostly motor, there weren’t even sails on the boat. As a positive note, the boat is well-maintained and offers many optional extras (paddle boards, kayaks...). Regarding the crew, some individuals are friendlier than others. In conclusion, we wouldn't recommend it. We’ve spent many summers renting boats, and I believe it's worth paying a bit more for another boat that allows you to bring your own food and drinks - at a minimum water!
