Gulet Baglietto Moto Veliero 22m
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MINI CRUISE IN THE GULF OF OROSEI It will be possible to rent the Veliero exclusively or buy the single ticket by paying for a single person, the rates vary according to the season. LIKE EVERY OLD BOAT, "DOVESESTO" HAS ITS STORY TO TELL. The hull of the "DOVESESTO" was set on the ports of the "BAGLIETTO" shipyards of Varazze between 1942 and 1943. During and immediately after the war, the pleasure boat of Lošinj went through a very serious crisis and the Baglietto shipyards, not to lay off the their highly skilled workers waiting for better times, decided to set up some fishing boats and three military hulls, almost twins, almost certainly destined for minesweepers. Immediately afterwards, for reasons unknown to us in international politics, the Navy had suddenly decided to have four Italian warships with a length of 50 meters each built, with the utmost urgency, by the Italian shipyards Baglietto at the time. it is known exactly, for reasons of military secrecy, what their use would have been, but certainly destined for the rapid interception in the Mediterranean of every possible enemy vessel. It was due to the urgency to free the construction yards that the shipyards decided to put the boats on sale. Doctor Fassio (then owner of over thirty merchant ships) was keenly interested in purchasing one of the hulls that had fascinated him, being the most likely to be set up for an adequate transformation, under the care of a competent enthusiast equipped with suitable means, in a prestigious sailing ship for private use. He turned to one of the best naval architects of the world at that time, namely the Englishman J. Laurent Giles who personally supervised his design and the direction of the work which ended, as regards the sailing armor, in the shipyards of Sturla in Genoa. It was launched a few years later with the name of "CHRYSOR" (name of a sailor known as the one who, according to the mythological tradition of ancient Greece, has first of all placed tree trunks at sea tied together so as to form a rudimentary "Hull" with which Chrysor himself would have sailed for the first in the world After about twenty years, the Fassos sold the boat in England and nothing was known for a long time. THE RENOVATION OF 2016 After a careful restoration that has brought it back to its former glory, Dovesesto is today a magnificent period sailing ship which, while retaining all the charm of ancient boats, hides new plants and equipment among its woods in full compliance with today's ecological standards. Technological systems for navigation: computers, Internet connection and meteo-faxes to keep the weather up to date, allow safe and comfortable navigation, worthy of the most modern and sophisticated sailing boats. The high-quality teak deck offers ample space and the possibility of lying pleasantly in the sun, or resting in the shade of the large awning. Below deck, the magical atmosphere takes you back in time. The welcoming dinette, the cabins furnished with period oak furniture, the original paintings and brass, offer a unique atmosphere and the feeling of reliving the times of the great sailing. Three bathrooms with two showers, an equipped kitchen and a heating system allow comfortable and long navigation in the seas all over the world. The four crew members, experienced navigators and profound connoisseurs of the coast of the island, will reveal the secrets of the Gulf of Orosei and Sardinia.
