Dear river friend, I suggest you rent our boat Pénichette 1107 W thanks to which you will be able to sail with your loved ones on the canals and rivers of France. The Pénichette 1107 W is a boat to pilot yourself and without a license, which has 2 cabins: - 1 forward cabin with double bed - 1 central cabin with a double bed (120x185) and a single bed (80x185). In addition, the saloon can be transformed into an extra berth. On the sanitary side, the boat has 1 shower, 2 sinks and 1 toilet. This boat is perfectly equipped to spend several days on board with a fitted kitchen and a comfortable saloon. Excellent first experience (24 hours of navigation without worries). A few leaks when it rains: 2 in the kitchen and one in the front cabin: to be remedied. Apart from that, a barge that lived up to our expectations!
The canal ride is super nice. The boat is quite comfortable but not very well maintained, there are among other things quite a few leaks when it rains. The kitchen is quite well equipped but the boat has the bare minimum.. no cushions or seats to enjoy the outdoors and no small services such as salt/pepper/sponge… you have to bring everything and given the price and the general condition of the boat it is a bit limited. The value for money is not good! And big downside on the times: 4pm to pick up the boat then you have to count an hour of paperwork, Check in… and 9am to return the barge!!! It absolutely does not leave the possibility of enjoying the last day.
Very happy with the stay
Friendly welcome but many supplements that we discovered on the day of the rental - 125 euros for cleaning, 8.77€ per hour of engine (which puts the liter of diesel at around 4.35 €, i.e. a 250% margin !), 94€ excess redemption - for an already high price for a boat in average condition and equipment (bedding, kitchen equipment) closer to a youth hostel than a three-star hotel! On the other hand, a week's rental only lasts 6 days (and 7 nights): boat delivered on Friday at 4 p.m. and returned the following Friday at 9 a.m. Good quality of service on site. But too high a cost for the service.
