Boat rental in Cres · Joker — Boat (2012)

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. I booked a Joker 90 HP (Honda) dinghy for use with a boating license, as advertised by Ive, but I had a nasty surprise: the engine was a 40 HP Yamaha. I called the owner, who blamed Click&Boat, saying they weren't responding and he had no way to change the ad. Ive's first big lie: since it was August 15th and it was impossible to find anything else, having already paid for two days' rental, I decided to use it. But another VERY BAD surprise: the engine malfunctioned and would stall while cruising at low revs. I immediately called Ive to let him know what had happened. He gave me instructions on how to restart it, but the problem kept recurring, so the fuel pump is faulty. At the end of the day, I notified Asia of the problem. She delivered the dinghy to us at the marina of the Bijar campsite in Osor on the island of Cres in Croatia. She told me to notify the owner so they could fix the problem. I tried calling Ive to report the problem, but he didn't answer the phone, and instead blocked my calls. This was irresponsible behavior, as I could have had problems during the trip and not received assistance. Ive lied, blaming Click&Boat for not being able to change the ad. In fact, after my report, he changed the ad to include the Joker 60 HP, but despite himself, I had created the short script for the ad. The dinghy's overall condition is terrible; everything has been very neglected. The awning would come off during navigation, the controls malfunctioned, and the digital display didn't indicate the fuel level, making navigation dangerous. Perhaps I've vented my frustration at being deceived by Ive, who claims to be a professional in boat rentals, but my contribution with this review is to prevent other users from the danger of renting these boats from Ive, which he offers regardless of the risk of sailing on extremely old, poorly maintained vessels that put the safety of others at risk.
