Everything was perfect and well organized. We discovered beautiful swimming spots, especially the lagoon with cliffs for jumping. Communication was easy and helpful at all times. The staff who instructed us were very friendly. Highly recommended!

The old Venetian port in Chania is a bustling and historic place with narrow street, historic port front, and lots of places to eat and drink. Great view of the port can be had from the harbour walls, the front itself, and from the area around.

Great for leisure. Easy to rent a boat, good quality food all around the port. Few good drink places in the evening, by the port and evening breeze from the sea.

Chanie is a wonderful old port town with many facets. It is definitely worth planning a trip to the great port city. The view of the coastal town from the sea is also impressive.

Our bachelorette sailing trip was an unforgettable experience! From the very start, the skipper and deck crew went above and beyond to make us feel safe, comfortable, and totally at ease. They struck the perfect balance between being professional and approachable, which made the whole group feel instantly welcome and relaxed. The day was beautifully organized, and everything flowed smoothly thanks to the crew’s attentiveness. They were always checking in to make sure we had what we needed without ever being intrusive. The food was another highlight—fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared, it added an extra touch of luxury to the entire outing. Sailing itself was a dream, with stunning views, the right mix of adventure and relaxation, and plenty of moments to enjoy the sea breeze together. It was the perfect setting for a bachelorette party—fun, memorable, and wonderfully cared for from start to finish. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a special celebration at sea.

Karolina and her friends were excellent companions on board! They were kind, respectful, and truly a joy to host. Some of them even assisted us with the sails during the trip, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We were very happy to meet them and we sincerely thank them for their genuine interest in our Almanac Super Heroes Project and for their kind donation. We would be more than glad to welcome them back on board anytime!

Everything was perfect and went exactly as planned. We discovered beautiful swimming spots, especially the lagoon with the cliffs for jumping, which we really enjoyed. Communication was open and easy, and we could reach out to the team at any time. The two staff members who gave us the instructions were very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a great experience – highly recommended!

When is the best time of year to rent a boat?

The optimal time to visit Chania and rent a boat is during the peak season, which runs from June to August. The weather during this period is warm and ideal for all water and boating activities. If you decide to venture into the months just before and after the high season, like May and September, temperatures tend to be slightly cooler, ranging from the low 70s°F to upper 70s°F but still pleasant!

What type of boat is best for a Chania boat charter?

Before choosing the right vessel for your boat rental in Chania, you first have to think about the duration of your holiday. If you’re only going to sail for a few days, it is best to opt for a daily charter such as a motorboat or a RIB. With the speed of these vessels, you’ll be able to see everything on your wish list in no time. If you’re planning a longer charter of a week or more you should choose a vessel that includes amenities you’ll need during your stay. Catamarans and yachts have the space and accommodations on board to ensure a comfortable stay on the water. For a more luxurious holiday, you might consider a gulet, and for an authentic sailing experience a sailboat.

If you’re unsure about whether or not a vessel suits your needs, feel free to contact the boat owners to get a better sense of what is included on board. With our large fleet, you’ll have no problem finding the perfect boat for your Chania boat charter!
