We started from Hora Sfakion and sailed to Loutro accompanied with professional. Thus we received boat related training on the way. On our own we visited fantastic beaches you can reach from the sea side only, made approx. 10 miles towards Sougia with one stop for lunch in the fantastic cozy village Agia Roumeli.

Ideal starting point for a day trip around the southern coast. A lot of nice bays and beaches around the area with small taverns you can have food or drinks. Can strongly recommend renting a boat down there at Damulis and his team. Looking forward to the next time to do so..

Actually we changed to Kalyves. It’s on the northern coast. We took the way Damulis told us round to Chania and back. Enjoyed some beautiful caves and the old port of Chania. Every time worth a trip (if weather is good). Thanks for a very nice day... Next time we will take a trip heading the south down to Georgioupoli.

Quiet beaches on the west coast but don't expect fine sand, there are only rocks. Nice snorkeling spots all along the coast. There is a wide cave just east from the port, perfect with kids when the sea is calm. In Loutro, you can drop anchor in front of a restaurant and have lunch there.
