Stelios was a great captain. He knew so much about the island and places we visited. The day was beautiful, and so was the boat. It was stocked with water, soda and wine. We also had fruit. We stopped at a great place for lunch and had a great meal. At the end of the day we saw the sunset which just made the trip extra special. Would give this a 10 out of 10

We had a wonderful day! Kostas made us discover the island, taking us to the most characteristic places and telling us about them, always leaving us the freedom to organise the day as we preferred. The boat was clean and comfortable. We strongly recommend choosing Kostas to accompany you on the discovery of Santorini!

Renting a boat with or without a skipper in Santorini?

There are benefits to renting a boat in Santorini, both with or without a captain. If you don't have a boating license, renting a boat with a captain is a great option. Your captain will take care of navigating the waters, allowing you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the stunning views of Santorini.

Professional captains are also familiar with the waters around Santorini and can show you the best places to go for swimming, snorkeling, and sightseeing. They can also give you insider tips on the best places to eat and drink on the islands you visit. Having a captain on board means that you can enjoy your day on the water with peace of mind. Captains are trained to handle all kinds of situations, from rough waters to medical emergencies, so you can feel safe and secure throughout your rental.

On the other hand, a bare boat charter is a great option if you have sailing experience. When you rent a boat without a captain, you have complete freedom to explore the waters of Santorini at your own pace. You can take your time at each destination, spend as long as you like swimming and sunbathing, and make your own schedule. And you won't have to share the boat with anyone else, giving you the opportunity to create your own unique experience. You still need a special nautical license, so make sure with the boat owner that your license is valid.
