This 3 cabin layout of the Oceanis 35.1 is in great shape with a lot of added amenities and accessories. It includes both Air Conditioning and Heating systems, a generator, coffee machine, microwave, a well sized fridge/freezer, an optional exterior gas BBQ, electric toilet along with the teak flooring in the cockpit area and foam teak around the anchor windlass area. The swimming platform transom makes for a great addition when anchoring around shallow bays and near deserted islands for a nice BBQ and swim off the boat. The red sea is dotted with excellent reefs and desert islands to explore, with an abundance of wind and charming ports, it is the perfect destination for a sailing holiday off the beaten path.

We really enjoyed renting the boat for a day. Even though we are experienced sailors, we didn’t mind the company of the provided skipper, and it was definitely a nice bonus thanks to his advice and assistance with mooring in various places. We steered ourselves and followed the chartplotter on our own, which is very important in such areas because of underwater reefs. Since the wind was light, I can’t comment on sail performance under heavier load, but the furling system for the jib was working properly, the genoa performed well, and the boat was clean. The only thing that could use some maintenance is the sprayhood. I noticed that people complain about poor visibility through it from the front — we simply opened it and everything was fine. The boat owner is responsive and friendly. Would we choose it again? Yes, why not?
Nice sailboat for daysailing. Owner organized everything well. Crew is very professional.
The instructions came from a man who barely spoke English. The owner was abroad. We could not find any nautical charts of that area on board. Furling the mainsail in the mast is very difficult. You need a winch with a gear to do that. But what if the bad looking reef line breaks? shore power does not charge the service battery although the instructor says so the spray hood hangs in frayed shape. the transparent part is not transparent anymore you can't see anything through it. I think you can have a wunderfull time when you rent this boat with a captain. They are very friendly and it is a beautiful area for snorkeling. And the inside of the boat was very good nice and clean. But it is unwise to rent this boat without a crew. Especially because there were no charts and reefing was so difficult
The Red Sea is a great place for sailing and enjoying the underwater-world. Fady and his team are highly professional and very kind people. We felt very wam welcome and the took great care of everything we needed or could wish. It was a great time for us.
