Embark on the Kirie FEELING 10.40! Located in Istres on the Étang de Berre, it's an excellent choice for a self-sufficient cruise. As a sailing instructor, I chose this boat to open a cruising school and offer high-quality training to my students. The boat is very well-equipped to guarantee comfort and safety. It has solar panels for complete autonomy, and its water reserves allow you to last up to a week, with washing products suitable for seawater. The dishes are complete and new. It is also equipped with an inflatable dinghy, a sprayhood and bimini to protect you from the sun, a large cockpit table, solar panels, and modern electronics for easy navigation. The functional holding tank allows you to stop in any port or anchorage close to the beaches. For more experienced sailors, it's possible to sail with a spinnaker for a more exhilarating experience. The standing rigging is new, as is the furler, and I repainted the exterior at the end of 2023. Much of the interior varnish was redone in early 2025. I am very committed to improving any points that have been raised. For example, the persistent cheese smell from the refrigerator, which you may have seen mentioned in a comment, has been resolved. The boat is currently moored at the Étang de Berre (on the waiting list for a berth), but I can exceptionally move it to the Mediterranean coast, particularly around Port-de-Bouc. Alternatively, I can make it available to you the evening before so you can take advantage of the 9:00 AM opening of the Martigues bridge and enjoy a picturesque start to your trip, sailing through the Provençal Venice, past the Miroir aux Oiseaux (Bird Mirror), and under the viaduct and the SNCF railway bridge, a listed historical monument. We chose Christophe's boat because the size was perfect for the three of us, and we liked the pick-up in the sheltered Etang de Berre. The route to Martigues was great for getting to know the boat, the passage under the bridge is very special, and we really liked Martigues as a town. Communication with Christophe was easy and quick - but you do need to have a good command of French. The boat is in good condition for its age. It sails beautifully, and the engine was smooth and reliable. The age of the boat is most noticeable below deck. We were particularly bothered by the smelly refrigerator. If you can live with such limitations, you'll rent a great boat from Christophe.
Christophe offers good advice and is always available. Despite being almost 40 years old, the boat is well maintained and remains reliable both at sea and at anchor. I recommend this boat and its owner.

Boat conforms and is comfortable for 4 or even 5. The sailboat is sound and performs well from close hauled to broad reach, the engine works well.
A well-maintained, functional, comfortable, and very smooth-running boat. It rolls a little more than more modern boats, but it's more pleasant upwind. Christophe is very welcoming and offers good advice. I'd definitely rent again.

Je suis moniteur de voile légère et habitable sur l'étang de Berre dans les Bouches du Rhône et le pourtour de la méditerranée. Je suis titulaire du certification de spécialisation croisière qui me permet d'encadrer jusqu'à 6 bateaux de nuit à plus de 6 milles des côtes en situation d'enseignement mais malheureusement pas de louer mon bateau avec moi à bord. Je vais rapidement passer le BACPN pour y remédier.
