Boat rental in La Spezia · Blu Line — Schizzo 520 (2019)

Wonderful day hire with an excellent boat. We were greeted by Mattia who helped set the boat up and give us some guidance and was very patient. The boat was easy to handle with a good top speed. We used 27.5L out of the 30L pre-filled tank (with an extra 10L spare stored separately) for 5.5 hours, of which about 3.5 hours were spent driving. The surrounding areas are stunning with some excellent spots to explore (lagoon to swim in, walkable caves, swimmable caves, rock faces to climb) and even dolphins that we were lucky to spot! The only minor downside was the ladder felt slightly insecure (but held our weights fine) and the refuel added an extra 58€ or so which you have to be mindful of. Otherwise it was perfect. Would highly recommend to any group of 2-4.

The boat experience was great. Mattia showed us the main reachable spots around la Spezia. It includes the Cinque Terre but note that you won’t be allowed to park your boat to close to the shore. There is one bad point, we ran out of gas on our way back to La Spezia. So just make sure the big and small tanks are completely full before you go. We didn’t and we had extra costs..

Instead of Lorenzo, we had another man who lent us a boat, Fabrizio. He was passive aggressive and didn’t explain everything about the boat in details. Explanation was max for 1 minute, we needed to figure out some things by ourselves. Also, in listing there was outdoor shower but it didn’t work which is super bad when you are on the boat from 9 am till 5 pm. Overall, I would recommend this boat if you have food, water on board and no sea sickness since it is not allowed to park in any port, you must stay in the boat for the whole duration of rent (no one informed us about it before actual day of rent). If you want to leave from the boat earlier than 5 pm, you must pay 25 euro. We arrived in port at 5 PM and Fabrizio was not there, we waited for him for 30 minutes however he said we can return from 5 PM to 6 PM. If the communication was better - I would rent this boat again.

Boat is a bit worn-out, e.g cracked and loose pieces here and there. It has had its best time. Storage compartment smells like benzine (including the life jackets). Person welcoming us was a bit blunt in communication. We could only identify us with a driving license, which was a big deal however also ok? Looking back I would’ve chosen a boat a bit more expensive and in better shape.

Fantastic experience on a lovely boat! Great communications from Lorenzo and his team. Would highly recommend this experience for those wishing to have a great day out and an excellent way to see the stunning coastline.

Fabrizio nice guy and helpfull but the bay of la Spezia has only a few nice places. You have to stay 100 mtr from the shore, so take your food and drinks for the day with you… and your sunscreen😉😉

We enjoyed a nice trip around golfo di poeti. Highlights were spiaggia delle colonne, Portovenere and grotte dei Colombi.

Was a great day at sea with this lovely boat! We were helped very nicely and everything worked fine. All in all, a great experience!

This is our first time hiring a boat and we will definitely be doing it again. There was someone to meet us and explain the workings of the boat and what to do when bringing it back. The experience was fantastic, being able to see and stop off at parts of the coast you normally wouldn’t able to from land. The boat itself was just as described and very clean and tidy. Everything was working well on it including the sun canopy (very welcome) and the boat was very easy to handle. Thank you to the team for making this a fun day for us.

I had told Lorenzo I wanted the boat at noon, he replied to contact another man, it is not Lorenzo who will meet you at the boat. I figured I'd touch base with the other guy in the morning, as the weather still said thundershowers so I figured we were all waiting anyways. I woke up to a text from Lorenzos employee that he was already waiting at the dock for me, an hour away from where I was staying, and with my two kids still sleeping. Lorenzo had not told his employee I'd said noon arrival, as he'd said I had to. This quickly turned into angry texts from the waiting employee, who said, "okay I wait this time but you pay me 30euros," with Lorenzo taking no responsibility at all. We did end up making it to the boat before noon (which was hard to find at the dock), the employee was visibly unhappy with us, what should have been a great day was stressful and exhaslerating. The boat day turned out lovely but I wouldn't rent from Lorenzo again.

We really enjoyed our boat trip with this boat. It was our first time with a boat, but the instructor explained everything very well. We also got some directions where the best spots are to anchor the boat.

Boat is worn out and has had its best time. Multiple cracks and loose parts. Welcome was troublesome and communication was blunt as it was a problem I only had my driving license. However this was suddenly enough? Also the storage compartment smelled like gasoline. Looking back we would have gone with a more expensive, yet better boat.

My girlfriend and I were here from NYC for a special occasion. We took a day trip from Florence to La Spezia and it couldn’t have been better. We booked it on fairly short notice (1-2 wks in advance) but Gino was very quick to respond and help accommodate our specific plans for that day. Communication was very good an upon starting our trip we were greeted by Gino and got very clear instructions about the boat and how to operate it. Everything was very clear and all our questions were answered. The boat is really beautiful, comfortable and easy to drive with it. We had a great day on the water, did some swimming and it was an overall beautiful experience! We visit La Spezia every year and will definitely book this boat again next year!

We had a lovely day at sea. Due to the lovely weather, there was quite a lot going on, which was a bit stressful at first. Communication with Lorenzo and especially Laura was straightforward and quick. Laura was very friendly and gave us great instructions. We had to fill up the tank ourselves at the petrol station. We would have liked the owners to do this for us, as we are laypeople and don't know anything about it and filling up took us quite a bit of time.

We had a really great day on the boat! A big compliment to Laura and Lorenzo for the great communication and support. The boat is exactly as described and leaves nothing to be desired. Even as beginners, we felt really safe and could reach them at any time. The only thing that shouldn't be underestimated is the drive back into the harbor. We paid an additional €30 for fuel for around 8 hours. Thanks again for the wonderful day!

So if you want to drive a boat this is really great, lots of power and good handling, I drove it for the first time today and will do it again, the instructions and explanations were short and concise and completely sufficient, just drive off easier than you think, even refueling is no problem, everyone is very nice ??

Matteo very kind and punctual. The table had broken the day before...and the artificial table opened at the first waves, effectively limiting the entire sunbathing area. The ladder was almost unusable because it lacked the correct contact against the hull, making it difficult for a non-agile person to climb back up. The hull appears quite dated, in my opinion more than the declared five years. The price is still affordable.

The disc was already quite worn and had several cracks. We had high waves that day. As a result, a crack has grown larger. We communicated this openly and honestly at the time of submission. He demanded 100 euros from us without giving any information. He also claimed the disc was new. If you rent a boat to tourists, you have to assume that something can break due to wear and tear and should be properly insured accordingly.

We loved our day on the boat. There are many beautiful places to see and swim. Parcontre do not think you can see the villages of the Cinqueterres. Also if you arrive by bus be careful this one makes a small detour there road is closed. Thank you Lorenzo and Fabricio!!

It was a good boat, with good explanations. Please note that Cinque Terre cannot be visited with this boat. There is no permit for this. It is also important to know that it is expected to actually use the boat from 9:00 to 18:00. Clear communication and friendly. It was a very nice day! If you go by train and bus, be careful because the bridge is not accessible at the end, so you have to wait one stop later.

Everything went well and we had a great day on the Mediterranean. Parking at the port is an adventure but also possible for free (don't be shy) Would rent this boat again and recommend it to everyone. The tank of 30 liters is a bit small and almost sufficient for a day tour. A larger tank could be better here without having to refuel in between. Unfortunately, there is only the visual control of how much fuel is left.

We were welcomed by Gino, a really lovely and friendly person. Wonderful experience!!! The view is splendid! My husband enjoyed himself as "captain". The boat is very easy to use. For my part, it was also my first experience... and my last I think lol We cut our day short because I was sick (seasick). We were still able to go up the Cinques Terre to Levanto and back down to La Spezia. I highly recommend this experience ❤️❤️❤️

Very good boat day. Be careful though, you won't be able to sail too close to the coasts of the 5 lands but there is plenty to do around to anchor and have a good time swimming. The little extra, a very quiet and efficient engine that really does not consume much.
