Excellent introduction on board by Fotis. An upfront description of the meeting point would have been helpful. Unfortunately, we‘ve dropped the loose anchor rope in a bay, but the skipper next to us was a world class diver. 😊 Overall a great family day on the sea! 👍

We were lured in by the cheaper price and rented a boat for €187 – the biggest mistake of our trip to Zakynthos. The person listed in the app was nowhere to be found at the pick-up location and redirected us to some of his “friends” – clearly because we were tourists. At first, they acted friendly and convincing, but the problems started immediately: the boat was dirty, the cooler described in the offer was full of trash with no ice packs, and the Bluetooth speaker I specifically asked about was broken. When we returned, a third person we had never seen before took over. Without even looking at the propeller, he claimed we had broken it and demanded €200. He tried to convince us he had been “tracking us via GPS” and kept making up lies. To top it off, they charged us €50 for fuel – which was clearly stated as included in the booking. The fuel gauge hadn’t moved an inch since we left. In the end, we paid €250 more than agreed – a complete scam. If you value your money, time, and mood – stay far away from this so-called ‘business’.

I received a warm welcome and a great introduction to the boat. The skipper gave a clear briefing on the dos and don’ts, both on board and while out at sea. It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. The following day, I went on a larger ship cruise around the island, but the small boat was far more enjoyable. It allowed us to explore hidden caves and secluded spots that the bigger boats simply can’t reach. Hiring a boat is an absolute must when visiting Zakynthos!
