Rent one of the most classical swedish sailing yachts Omega 42. Amazing sailing capabilities and newly structural renovation performed during two last years with brand new cushioned sofas. (see full renovation work on @sy.svala) Self tacking jib and no back stay makes upwind sailing a dream. Easely handled by fin keel and tiller. Large cockpit with laguna table. Directly to port down the stairs is a kitchen with refrigerator, stove (two burners) and oven. On starboard there are map/navigation tables. The galley consists of two longitudinal sofas. These sofas can be converted into two beds. Between the saloon and the head there is a toilet to starboard and a wardrobe to port. The toilet has a door. Aft of the stairs, there are two aft berths and different storage spaces. Length: 12,8 m Width: 3,15 m Depth: 1,75 m Weight: 7,5 ton Mast height 18,5 m Standing height is 180 cm inside the main galley 2-cabin yacht with 6 berths and 1 toilet. 150 liter water tank 50 liter diesel tank 70 liter septi tank 2 pcs, 12 volt batteries for consumtion 1 pcs, 12 volt batteries for engine Motor: Yanmar 3GM 30F - 27 hp, folding propellar Basic equipment consisting of: Bimini, Mooring ropes, fenders, Anchor, Swimming platform with ladder, Navigation/position Lights and Compass. Principal electronic equiment, Solar panel energy system, Stereo, GPS/basic plotter, Autopilot, Pressurized water, Warmwater, and reading lights in all berths. Additional equipment: Heater / Blower, Cockpit table, First aid kit, Fire extinguishers, Fully equiped Kitchen with cutleries, sink, oven and stove etc. Pillows and blankets are provided during the rental. Home port is Ljungskile, 70 km north of Gothenburg and 20 km south of Uddevalla. From our port you can reach most of Swedish west coast most famouse places within a week.

Me and my girlfriend had an excellent experience on Swalan. It’s a beautiful ship and it sails and manoeuvres wonderfully. The home harbor and starting area is not so interesting, so sailing for the west coast is what we did. The west coast is beautiful and the many islands and villages are wonderful. Ola and Lars were very helpful, flexible, they responded quickly and were overal a joy to communicate with. We very much recommend this boat to expierenced sailors whom can appreciate a classical and fast ship.
Very easy going and polite. We had bad luck with the weather forecast but they where super flexible and got everything sorted for everyones best interest. The boat was clean and gas was filled as well. I would recommend them as renters any day.
We had a great time! The boat is a great sailor (because it sails fast and is easy to handle) and the environment is amazing! We sailed to Kattengat via the North of Orust. This was a really good trip with beautiful islands and coasts. The boat contains everything you need and the comfort is okay. The harbour was not very beautiful, but there was sanitair available. Eventually, we recommend this boat since it gives you a great sailing experience in an unbelievable surrounding!
When finally decision about dates where set. Everything went supersmooth. Left the boat in good conditions.
Lars and Ola are the two very pleasant owners of Svalan. They provided excellent advice for our cruise and were attentive to our needs. SVALAN is a wonderful sailboat. She is beautiful, elegant, and sails very well, especially upwind, even in rough seas. She is very well equipped, and the interior is comfortable. The lack of a shower isn't too much of a problem, as there are ones in every port. The west coast of Sweden is a wonderful sailing playground. There is almost always wind and a myriad of islands and islets to stop at. It allows for leisurely sailing in the shelter of the islands or more sporty sailing offshore. In short, I recommend the Svalan/west coast of Sweden combo. Thank you, Lars.
