Boat rental in Malta · 2013 — Solemar 23ft (2013)

Planned rental of the Solemar 23ft...broken down, contacted the owner to get the Oro Marine as a replacement...40 minutes wasted! Run away! I don't understand why this owner is rated "Super Owner"! Maybe Click should review its criteria. First, the ad states the port is Portomaso, while the boat is in Armier! We were staying 5 minutes from Portomaso, hence the choice of this boat. Second, bookings via Click&Boat are much more expensive than the service provider who takes care of the boats. Finally, the boats are real floating garbage cans: don't trust the photos. And finally, the boat only had 50% fuel and therefore not enough autonomy for a day. While the boat service provider's staff are friendly and accommodating, it's a small step compared to the expected service (note that we didn't meet the boat owner in person). In conclusion, move on!

Catastrophic experience

The boat didn't match the pictures. It was the same model, but old, worn, very poorly maintained, and the engine kept cutting out! I would always ask for up-to-date pictures of the boat. I've had great charters otherwise, but these pictures had nothing to do with reality!

Perfect condition of the boat, uncomplicated handling and very friendly service. We would be happy to charter again at any time.
