We sail a brand-new Lagoon 42 Catamaran named "Aktaia" to her limits! This entrancing spirit of the Aegean Sea will take you where no one has ever been before. Our beautiful Catamaran Yacht shares the same qualities as the Nereid whose name it carries, sailing effortlessly in the Aegean Sea searching for the most unique and magical insular treasures. Aktaia is part of the crew and along with her experienced skippers they are called by the sea and are driven by their love for the Cyclades which they proudly call Home. These partners manage to travel safely in the Cycladic sea seeking adventure and sharing their hidden discoveries with their guests which a few seamen know. The experienced skippers of Niriides Cruises along with our soulful Catamaran, Aktaia, travel together almost all year round. During the summer season they guide their guests through an island-hopping experience in the Cyclades and during winter they spend their time increasing their sailing skills and searching idyllic locations accessible only by sea. Every rough weather is worth the challenge as the reward is priceless. Having all this knowledge accumulated and given our appetite for exploration, we invite you to come as a guest and leave as a friend on a trip where we sail the Cyclades in a totally different way. The trip could not have been any better. Very personal, friendly, competent and knowledgable crew. Very client oriented. We felt totaly save even when weather conditions got rough. Stergios knows the area extremely well and customizes the trip the client needs. Boat is in great shape and well maintained.
Magical trip! We booked one week on Stergios’ boat in May and it was the best decision we made ! We had an amazing time and sail in the Cyclades. Everyday, we moved from an island to the other (Danoussa, Amorgos, Koufonissia, Paros, Héraklia, Syros, Tinos and other secret spots..). During the sailing time, Stergios showed us some stunning places to visit, little paradises to swim or just to admire those places you can only reach with a sailing boat. So each day was a new spot, a new experience, a new paradise. This trip really depends on you and what you enjoy the most. Moreover, you feel very secure and confortable on the boat. Stergios is very professional, calm and careful. He is also very nice, respectful and attentive with our needs. You really feel good, safe and relaxed! We spent only 7 days on the boat, it felt like a month due to all the sights we saw and the relaxing times whilst travelling from one new spot to the other. I hope the photo's give you some idea of how awesome our trip was. I can't thank him enough for this amazing and memorable trip we had. Everything was perfect and we highly recommend him as the Skipper and the boat of choice. We will all miss his passion for the sea and genuine endeavour to share the beauty of the Aegean sea! I have always wanted to travel around the world. This goal of mine in combination with my country’s longstanding maritime tradition as well as my interest for sailing strongly motivated me to pursue a career as a skipper. Having been successfully awarded the Amateur Skipper I was fortunate enough to land a job in Mykonos, one of the world’s windiest and most challenging sailing destinations. I started from the bottom and worked my way up, learning as much as I could along the way. I worked long hours, 7 days a week, in a difficult environment. I was able not only to handle boats of any size, but also to be able to predict where damage may occur and to react quickly and effectively in dangerous situations. My passion for learning has seen me undertake many demanding situations, whether it was a boat transfer that no one wanted to take on, the rescue of damaged and not under command boats, or dealing with the panicked crew which has lost the vessel’s control due to the extreme weather conditions. I have trained hard to become a capable captain and so far I have accomplished every task I set out to achieve.
