Motorboat Ryds 478 Gti 50hp
This boat is located on Malmøya, 10 minutes by public bus from downtown Oslo. It used by the family for bathing and lunch on the Oslos islands on daily basis in the summertime. However the boat is excellent for Oslofjord sightseeing and to see downtown Oslo from the seaside, like the Opera in Bjørvika and Sørenga, Akershus Castle, Oslo City Hall, Akerbygge with the Nastional Museum and Tjuvholmen with Astrup Fearnley Museum. In Norway you have to have a licence if you are born after 1980 for boats with motors more than 9,9 hk. Due to the other boats in the harbour shallow parts you have to be experienced. So your age and small boat experience in shallow or tiny harbours will be important in consideration of renting the boat. Due to extreme rush hours traffic from downtown to Malmøya, we do not have meeting points between 7-9 am and 3-6 pm. As we live downtown Oslo we do not offer half day rentals.

Ellen was an absolute gem to work with - She was very responsive and the boat was perfect for exploring the bay. She had great recommendations and knew the best spots to send me. The electric scooters are geofenced to stop 1.2km from the pickup spot so I was late but she was very accommodating and waited for me to walk the rest of the way. There is a bus that stops right outside the marina pickup so this is the best choice for transit or an Uber. All in all a great experience - Thank you Ellen!!!

Great experience, we managed to explore whole Oslo fjord, although it was very windy. The boat is great, we were met on time and clear instructions were provided. Ideal for 3-4 people.
A completely perfect experience. Ellen provided knowledgable guidance throughout the process and very politely & professionally assessed my competency during the boating process. This level of attention to detail is crucial for boating, and highly appreciated but an ex-mariner. The boat was perfect, cleaned, and fuelled on time and ready to go. A perfect service, 10/10.

Excellent contact with Ellen Katerine. The boat is perfect. We used it every day for 1 week and everything went very well. We plan to return to sail on the waters of the Oslo Fjord and we will definitely contact Ellen Katerine again to rent her boat.
Ellen and her daughter organized the check-in/check-out handover perfectly, both in terms of timing and personal service. A great boat for exploring Oslo from the water and cruising around the small islands. We had lunch on the island of Gressholmen and a quick dip in the water... Wonderful. The day was beautiful for us. The contact with Ellen was very cordial and uncomplicated. We were given great goals by Ellen. The boat was well maintained and was fun to drive. Should we be in Oslo again, we would like to come back to the offer.
