Hello! I am Fernando, skipper of a 12 meter long Beneteau Océanis 393 sailboat docked in Punta Umbría, Huelva. I have been sailing all my life and I would like to encourage you to come and sail along the coasts of Punta Umbría, Huelva, El Rompido, Marismas del Ideal natural area... I offer you two types of outings: Full day: leaving around 11:30 or 12 from the port to the open sea to sail for several hours. In the afternoon we will enter the Punta Umbría estuary again to go up it until we anchor in the Odiel Marismas, a beautiful natural area where we can do paddle, canoe, swim... and have a coffee. After watching the sunset with a glass of champagne, we return to the port just after nightfall. The maximum group is 9 people plus the skipper who will be me. Half day departure: Leaving around 4 in the afternoon and returning at sunset. The departure is the same as the entire day but with shorter times. You can learn, collaborate, and participate in taking the sailboat or simply enjoy sailing.

The lack of communication was more our fault than the skipper’s as we knew ahead of time that he did not speak english well. With that said, Fernando went to great effort to speak english he knew with us. He was knowledgeable and welcoming. We would definitely would book with Fernando again.

We spent an exceptional day with Fernando, pure kindness. In addition to the swims along the way and the tour we took arriving at El Rompido and reaching the Odiel Marshes, he was always explaining and showing us how to steer the boat, both with a motor and a sail, allowing us to take part. 100% recommended, we'll try to do it again when we return to the area.

Starting with the kindness and familiarity of the skipper, Fernando José, who will not hesitate to answer all your questions and help you understand the basics of sailing, all sprinkled with dozens of anecdotes that will make the day much more entertaining. The boat is enjoyable from beginning to end, whether sailing, stopping and taking a dip in the open sea or in the marshes, or even within them, watching the birds that spend time there. And a special mention for his dedication to teaching the little ones. In my 13-year-old daughter, he has instilled the beginning of a passion for sailing and crewing a sailboat. A 5-star experience! The sailboat was very beautiful and comfortable. Fernando, the captain, was very brave to invite our group of two fathers with five children on board! He's a father himself and is very calm and knowledgeable with children. Fernando enthusiastically taught the children how to sail. He showed us everything and taught us maritime vocabulary. It was a very fun, peaceful, and educational day. Perfect!

Hola a todos!. Soy Fernando, tengo 62 años. He trabajado de alfarero, ceramista, empresario turístico y ahora ya "casi" jubilado me gustaría compatibilizar mi afición a la vela con mi profesión. Llevo navegando toda mi vida, siempre en barcos de vela. Desde hace algunos años tengo un velero Beneteau Oceanis Cliper 393 de casi 12 metros de eslora. Actualmente soy Capitan de Yate y Patrón Profesional de Embarcaciones de Recreo. Me gusta Navegar a vela porque es entrar en contacto total con la naturaleza, de encontrarme conmigo mismo. Me da paz, incluso los días de mar y viento desde momento de salir de puerto izar velas y apagar el motor... Navego durante todo el año habitualmente por las costas de Huelva y Portugal, porque mi velero está en Punta Umbría pero también he navegado y hecho frecuentes traslados por el Levante Mediterráneo., Baleares, Cerdeña, Baltico, Mar del Norte, Bretaña Francesa, Golfo de Vizcaya y costa Atlantica Portuguesa. Puede parecer mucho navegar, pero en el mar y los veleros siempre se sigue aprendiendo... Me gustaría compartir mi amor a la vela con vosotros y tener la posibilidad de pasar buenos momentos en mi velero. Me encantará recibiros a bordo y que llevemos el velero entre todos o simplemente disfruteis de la travesía. ¡¡¡Os espero!!!
