Boat rental in Sami · Bavaria — Cruiser 45 (2011)

We had booked the boat for a week. In general the boat is good shape and the port manager George was super helpful when handing over the boat. Prior to the booking the boat owner replied to all messages super fast. But after 4 days on boat the gear shifter broke on the motor. We could no longer drive forwards....only backwards. The owner was of no help. Never replied and never sent a sorry. I had to contact George who sorted it out (while I don't know if that really is his job or he just did it out of kindness because the owner was incapable of helping). The owner did pay for the repair and for the marina where we were to get it repaired. But did not compensate any of the booking fee despite we lost a whole day because of this motor problem... When I asked for a compensation I could only hear him scream at George. As the communication all went via George as I didn't have his number and he never called me despite me asking him to do so. Would I book again? Probably not.
