Description of Provence's sailboat
Sailboat Jeanneau Sun Fizz 13m
Hello everyone, We're a 29-year-old couple on a round-the-world trip, and we're pleased to offer you unforgettable excursions to the San Blas. Lovers of all things water-related (preferably salty 😁 ), we'd be delighted to show you what life is like on board. Aldebaran, a 13-meter monohull with three double cabins, is perfect for 2 to 4 people looking for maritime adventures. We privatize the boat for you and your family. Program: - Sailing through the crystal-clear waters of the San Blas, discovering breathtaking scenery. - Snorkeling to admire the colorful marine life in 30°c water. - Various fishing sessions (underwater or trolling). - Barbecue on the beach to savor the day's catch. - Paddle boarding to watch the sunrise or sunset. - Observe the local wildlife (dolphins, birds, rays, etc.). (We'll keep it a surprise). - Deserted beaches accessible only by boat. - Dinghy rides. Of course, we'll be happy to listen to your wishes and work out the program with you. We'll offer you three meals a day, made with local produce (fruit, vegetables, fish, etc.). Water, tea, coffee and natural juices are unlimited. 2 beers per day/person included in the price. We adapt to your dietary requirements. Photo option: For an additional €50, Provence will take your photos of the water and land taken during your stay, so you can keep a nice souvenir of your vacation in paradise. Organizing your arrival: There's only one way to reach the SanBlas. There's only one road, and it's managed by the indigenous San Blas people, the Kunas. A transport company will pick you up early in the morning (between 5 and 6 a.m.) in front of your hotel in Panama City (or at the airport). The bus will drop you off at customs, where you'll have to pay the $20/person tax to enter Kunas territory. From there, you'll go to a port with the same company, and a small motorboat will take you to our sailboat, where we'll be waiting for you for lunch. The return trip is the same, with a morning departure (6/7am) and another around 2pm. We can, of course, put you in touch with the company in charge of this. The price is for two people and includes: - Three meals a day. - Gasoil. - Skipper and hostess/cook. One-day bookings include the following night. Example: If you book for December 24th, you will arrive on board around noon and leave on the 25th For further information or to reserve your place, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to sharing this unique experience with you! See you soon on the waves, Thomas & Provence

Overall rating
Sailing was excellent, snorkeling was also very good. Very average comfort, meals were limited, rice salad, vegetable pasta, drinks were also limited, 2 beers per person per day. Fruit was limited except for bananas, no fresh water, and no sodas. We went on a 5-day cruise where we only ate fish for 2 days and the following 3 days, a single ramekin of ceviche with 2 small balls of bread for 4 people. We asked for lobster ($5) to no avail. We paid 2,543 euros. We spoke to Provence about it, who simply told us that we were at the end of the world and that we couldn't find much, except that fish and lobster are plentiful at a completely ridiculous price, and that's exactly what we were asking for. Thomas is the one who's fishing, and if the fishing isn't good, it's pasta with vegetables or mashed potatoes. We're definitely on the other side of the world, but you eat like you would at home with leftovers from the fridge. I can understand the limited showers, but the sinks aren't working for brushing teeth. **Owner's answer** Naima was odious from the start. We tried to get in touch after she booked, but to no avail. She only deigned to respond the week before her arrival; before that, we received no information. On the phone, I asked her what they wanted for breakfast, to which she replied, "Tea, coffee, nonsense like that." I always ask people what they usually eat so I can adapt as best I can. The day before their arrival, I received messages from her asking me why the taxi boat (which is completely independent of us) was picking her up at 7:00, that this was a scandal and I quote "really not serious!!!" We tried to explain to her that this was valid for everyone coming to Sanblas and that if it didn't suit her, she should take a private taxi. As soon as we arrived, they were supposed to pay us the sum of $680 in cash, proof in the screenshot of our conversation, she first gave us $600, we showed her that $80 was missing, but nothing worked. In the end, she gave us €43 (= $45 instead of $80). It was impossible to explain to her that there was a conversion to be made, Naima not listening to anything we said, the discussion was impossible and we preferred to crash rather than climb. During the stay, Naima did not stop complimenting me on the meals. They received fresh bread from the locals the first 3 days and we made our own bread the remaining 2 days (which she asked me for the recipe because she loved it so much). For breakfast, they had something homemade and different every morning: pancakes, banana bread, homemade bread, eggs and each time accompanied by fruit. Unfortunately, as explained, we are in the middle of an Atol, we do not have access to stores and are dependent on the locals. We bought what we found (pineapples, mangoes, bananas, coconut, lemons) unfortunately we had to wait for them to ripen, so the quantities were limited. They received a homemade aperitif every day (hummus, homemade cheese, pâté...) accompanied not by 2 breads as said in the comment but by 4 homemade breads (350gr of flour per aperitif) I made homemade desserts several times during their trip and I even remade recipes at the request of Jean Paul who had really appreciated the banana compote. We had clearly specified in our ad that there were only 2 beers/person/day. We warned them that they could bring their alcohol, which they did. We generally offer a bottle of wine one evening in view of the characters who did not even give me time to serve the aperitif we did not have the desire. We bent over backwards to please them, we took them to the best spots, we went fishing every day (only the first and last day they didn't have fish for dinner but there was some for the aperitif.), I made them a pasta salad one lunchtime since she told me she wanted to go for a picnic on the beach, we had a barbecue on the beach one evening which they loved (where she actually complained that there were too many fish to eat...) As for the lobsters, they never asked us to buy any, we were the ones who said we were going to do it to which she replied "no you shouldn't, I'm not talking about lobsters so that you buy some". We were not once asked by a fisherman for lobsters. To continue, the bathroom sink worked perfectly, unfortunately she didn't listen to our explanations and therefore took a shortcut. It's simply connected to the shower tray, so we asked her not to spit in the sink to avoid water pooling at her feet. We've never rationed showers! But we're on a boat without access to fresh water. Naima chose the cheapest cruise on the market and expected a Michelin-starred restaurant. We're not selling a "Chef Michel" cruise, but rather a discovery of local life, the seabed, and sailing. Moreover, Naima complimented us throughout our stay, on the food (irony, though!), the spots, the sailing... Her husband even invited us to stay with them this summer!!! Everything was going very well until the last evening when the taxi boat announced that departure would finally be at 7:30 and not 8:00 as she had agreed. From then on, Naima and Jean Paul screamed for a good two hours, and we lined up downstairs to let them accept this news!! I had prepared an aperitif/main course/dessert for their last evening, but Naima refused to eat, and they didn't speak to us from that point on. We tried to explain that we had nothing to do with the taxis, but nothing happened. They left the next day without saying goodbye. They also texted me 30 minutes later with a few recommendations. We responded without delay so as not to add fuel to their fire. You paid exactly €2,477 for 4 people. That's €123/day/person. No one in the San Blas charges such low prices for a private boat. I suggest you take an overseas cruise to the Bahamas with a full crew at your service for your next cruise, not a 1981 monohull.
Provence & Thomas have treated us very well throughout our stay. They adapt very well to the needs of the client and have done everything possible to make us feel comfortable and have a good time. They are charming and very kind. I would definitely stay here again. Greetings Noa & Rubén :)
Thomas and Provence very pleasant and welcoming We had a very nice navigation on a nice boat. Only downside: lunch .... toast, a very small bowl of pasta and a small piece of pineapple ..... No little punch, no beer, no chilled rosé, not even water. I had brought a few beers and a bottle of champagne because we had something to celebrate, which "hydrated" us but the 90€ left us with a bitter taste on the "drink and eat" service. Boat and navigation nickel!
Thanks to Thomas for this day of relaxation and sharing his passion for sailing. Comfortable sailboat for 2 people, 4 max.
Thank you Thomas for this great day of sailing!
