Boat rental in Split · Traditional Croatian Boat — Leut Palagruža (1926)

A very beautiful wooden boat and always a photo opportunity. Excellent communication with the owners, who are always available and gave lots of tips and helped with the planning. The boat has a double bed in the bow with enough space for two. In the salon/kitchen there is a second bed behind a curtain, suitable for one adult. There is also a small room with a bed for a child. You can also sleep upstairs on the bench, but for more than four people it would be too cramped for my taste. I found the autopilot very useful. The devices all work great. There is no radio, so a motorboat license is sufficient. The two batteries for starting and the inverter for the power were new to me. If you have trouble starting, there is a generator. Pay close attention during the briefing. We went from Split via Brac to Solta and then to Drvenik. The buoys are usually near restaurants. We found that practical. The restaurants are expensive, but the buoy is included. Solta is very beautiful overall. We found the harbor and the town of Stomorska very nice. It can be reached from Split in 1.5 hours. Next time I would also go to Hvar. Once again, many greetings to the landlords and thanks for the support before, during, and after the trip!

Of course, it's a bit cramped with six people, but if the weather cooperates, that's no problem. The boat briefing was a bit more comprehensive due to our limited experience and gave us a lot of confidence. And with all the little problems along the way—weather, technical issues, route, etc.—we could always count on support, which was really great! If you're looking for a vintage boat with character, the Palagruza and its fantastic support are the perfect choice!

I have spent a wonderful week with my family on the Leut Palagruza, we have loved everything, the boat is wonderful to sail with, very comfortable and safe, the coast is beautiful with many very beautiful places. Communication with Ante and his wife has been perfect, they are very friendly and helpful, they keep the boat in very good condition. Cruising speed is about 6.5 knots, although there would still be some reserve at higher speeds. The owners of the boat are very nice, and will assist whenever necessary. We had a very nice week with the boat. Ideal for circumnavigating the neighboring islands. We were always a photo motif for the tourists on the beach. The boat is easy to use and the recommended app "Windy" was very helpful. We had very nice days and can only recommend it. A clear difference to the usual "plastic boats" ...
