Boat rental in Taormina · Cranchi — M 44 Ht (2020)

From the owner to the staff, everything was excellent. Clean and updated boat. Coordinated our transport to the dock for us. Made it all very easy, and we all had a great time. Views were amazing. No complaints about this experience. Highly recommend. Will definitely book again.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The boat was exactly as advertised and the crew did an amazing job. We will be reaching back out next time we are in Taormina.

Once arriving at the port no one was there to greet us. Someone rounded up salvo eventually. The ride route was not as we asked and been told it was ok . so after an hour I expressed that to the the driver and he needed to get salvo to approve what we had asked for. He did and then it was great

The day before the charter, we were told the boat needed to be fixed so we would lose a day of charter, at the time no refund was offered. Only after an afternoon/evening of negotiation back and forward during my holiday was an agreement made which was still not suitable, but I went along with it to try and make it a positive experience for both parties. This was stressful and alarming. I asked if there was a different boat instead that didn’t need to be fixed so we didn’t lose charter time and was told there was absolutely not. The next day came and the boat was still not fixed, we were told an hour before we were supposed to be picked up from the hotel that there was now a different boat somehow, they tried to say this was an ‘upgrade’ because it was a couple of feet longer. It was in fact a free downgrade as it was a boat roughly 20 years older, a lot less modern with less amenity. Besides, we thought there was no other boats available? So why did we lose a day of charter and not get a proper refund for that? After the time we were told this other boat would pick us up, they then told us we had to travel to a new location to go to the boat, another 45 minute drive away. Once we arrived there was no one to greet us, the taxi driver left us in the large marina and no one knew what was going on. At this point I started to think the whole thing was a scam and we started to be worried for our safety. The captain eventually found us. Once on board the captain was very pushy to get us to pay the final amount owing. As soon as we paid it he immediately created a big drama and said the engine has broken because a plastic bag was in it and the weather is too bad to leave, so we had to spend the night in the port- losing more time of the charter. So we ate at the marina that night and had an uncomfortable sleep not knowing if it was even a legitimate business. The hostess and the captain would always yell at each other, it created a very hostile and non friendly environment. As a guest it was extremely awkward and uncomfortable to watch. The captain would mock the poor older lady, it made us very sad to watch someone treat another person like this. Truly horrible. Although we did enjoy the swimming and spots we visited, we were so happy to finally get off the boat. The captain was very pedantic with the cleanliness of the boat, so it was difficult to relax, feel calm or at ease. I had high hopes for this experience on my honeymoon. I wish we could redo it with someone else.

One of our most memorable days in Taormina! Paola and Pax were amazing and the boat was gorgeous. A must so in Taormina!
