VREDE III is a 20-meter yacht from the historic and mythical AKHIR series of the Cantieri di Pisa. The AKHIR series was born from the design of the architect Pierluigi Spadolini who, while teaching at the University of Rome, had students such as Andrea Vallicelli, creator of the famous sailing boat Azzurra, Mario Maioli, designer of the Panda and Uno, and Renzo Piano . Fiberglass and wood coexist on the Akhir, in a balanced and special mix. AKHIR is part of the Arabic name of Achernar a bright blue star, belonging to the constellation of Eridanus. It is the ninth brightest star in the sky, and is mainly visible from the southern hemisphere of the Earth. The name comes from the Arabic word آخر النهر (ākhir an-nahr) which means "end of the river".
