It is with pleasure that I put at your disposal my sailboat "magau 2", a seaworthy and comfortable FIRST 29. Before your arrival, I will provide you with a complete file on the boat, in order to familiarize you with the equipment on board. When you arrive, I will stay with you for the necessary time, so that you set sail peacefully and will advise you on the best anchorages. During your cruise, at your convenience, I can provide you with information on the day's weather and your navigation plans. For your car, free, enclosed and secure parking is available approximately 400 m from the boat. Moored in the port of Lorient on a pontoon with 24/7 access, access to port amenities, and above all quick access to the open sea. This is an ideal starting point: SHORT CRUISE (2 days): discover the harbor of Lorient and its numerous marinas, the island of GROIX is only a stone's throw away with its wild anchorages authorized in superb coves or its port to experience because it is very lively during the day as well as by night!! MEDIUM CRUISE (1 week): A little further to the south BELLE ILE, HOUAT or HOEDIC await you, or to the west the GLENAN archipelago, you have the choice depending on the weather.... LONG CRUISE (2 weeks): The islands of NOIRMOUTIER, YEU (Breton coast and Vendée habitation) or in the North West the islands of SEIN, MOLENE, OUESSANT Also for the summer season you will have the "PASSEPORT ESCALES" Card which gives the right to a free night in many ports (not insignificant high season). Limited to 1 night per port during the rental so that everyone benefits. New annex (2020) and motorized free of charge on request. On board, the large saloon (headroom of 1.85m) can accommodate up to 6 guests around the RETRACTABLE table with integrated BAR, a 2-BURNER gas stove in the "L"-shaped kitchen as well as a sink with pressurized water, will help you prepare meals. To enjoy your nights: At the rear Port, a double cabin isolated by a door and ventilated by an opening porthole with wardrobe and storage equipment. At the front, a comfortable double cabin. In the saloon, the two large benches can be used as berths. Located aft Starboard, the TOILET CABINET will appeal to you ladies, with its isolation thanks to a lockable door and its sink-mirror unit. -1 double USB socket, cigarette lighter per cabin to charge your multimedia devices. -LED lighting. -1 large cockpit locker, and numerous storage lockers in the saloon. NAVIGATION side: -A real navigation table and seat, easy access to all instruments (GPS, VHF AIS ASN) -South and West Brittany paper maps - GPS/SOUNDER (water height under the keel) GARMIN chart reader, very visible on the roof. -2nd SOUNDER (surface water height) -3 very powerful SELF-TAILING winches, 2 cranks. -Powerful and safe 18 HP motor (consumption of 1.5 liters/hour) -Long sensitive tiller (retractable when anchored) and retractable STICK. (Saffron rings changed 2023) -Automatic pilot. -VHF or HIFI external speaker. -Very readable road compass -Semi-battened mainsail (2015) with 2 reefing strips with LAZY BAG (2021) and LAZY JACK, and large heavy genoa on furler (2020). New standing rigging (2022) -Asymmetric spinnaker. -Large COCKPIT, retractable TABLE, swimming LADDER and SMALL SKIRT for quick access to the annex, swimming and getting a man overboard. Cockpit table provided. OPTIONAL (to be specified when booking): BEDDING: Duvets and pillows for 2 cabins (50 Euros/rental/week) Two-seater inflatable sea KAYAK (50 Euros/rental/week) Two-seater PADDLE (50 Euros/rental/week) Fuel is the responsibility of the tenant. IMPORTANT : Cancellation conditions: Beyond force 5 (gusts), I reserve the right to either cancel or postpone the rental. GUARANTEED QUICK RESPONSE It is a sailboat recognized for its abilities to face the sea. Very high stability, very good running in the breeze, a classic but innovative interior for the time are the characteristics of the First 29. With great shape stability and moderate freeboard, it works very well upwind. It is also easy to control downwind. Its stability made it possible to create a keelboat version. It is one of the boats that many sailors talk to me about. The objectives were stability, easy control, low list, characteristics sought in a family cruiser.

Boat that sails well, impeccable engine, complete equipment (mooring, ropes, dinghy and its engine...). The interior shows its age well. Complete navigation equipment except wind vane/anemometer. Joël great for getting the boat in hand and always available on the phone and text. Very reassuring.

Magau 2 is really an extra normal boat, it is a first 29. pleasant in heavy and light weather even if it prefers at least 15 to 20 km / h of wind. Joel is great on the welcome and the presentation and the follow-up of the boat. In short, a treat.
A superb week spent on Magau 2. The First 29 is a good boat, very pleasant to steer. New mainsail and very recent genoa with strong overlap, asymmetric spinnaker in perfect condition. Impeccable engine. Well-equipped boat, new tender, kitchen utensils, gas offered by Joël, navigation charts and instruments which allow safe navigation. A tinkering or two (starboard piano) to repair when the weather permits, but nothing disturbing. Joël was very available to communicate during the week, the reception and handling of the boat went very well. A good boat to discover or rediscover a magnificent corner of Brittany. I recommend !
A very warm welcome from Joël, the boat is easy to handle and well equipped (be careful, unlike the announcement, no dinghy engine). A small interior refit (foams of the square for example) would do him good. We had a great weekend despite the bad weather on this summer's eve.
a superb WE on Magau2 from groix to glenans via Concarneau and Doëlan. The boat is not young, but you know it when you rent a First 29. The equipment is correct, the engine needs a little warm-up before use, but works perfectly. the sails are of good quality. Joël is very available, and sends the weather and tide files every day. I think the value for money is pretty good.
