Yacht charter in Palma de Mallorca · Bavaria Yachtbau — Bavaria Cruiser 50 (2011)

The boat was in very bad condition, from torn sails, defective winches, a non-functioning chart plotter and an anchor that was much too small. Everything was there. Safety-related equipment was only sporadically/poorly maintained. After we addressed the problem/defects, we said that the boat was not a performance boat and that sailing is anyway a sport in which you can repair the boat in the most beautiful places in the world... We lost a lot of vacation time due to the poor condition of the boat, and the fact that we didn't have any depth gauges on a 50-foot yacht made anchoring even more difficult with an anchor that was too small and wouldn't hold at night. When we handed over the boat, we reported all the defects again and had them confirmed in writing by Irisyacht Charter, and we were assured of compensation. It's now been almost a week since the vacation and nothing has been received as of compensation and deposit. This yacht charter should no longer be offered. Because the prices are not only disproportionate, the service is not right, but because it is simply irresponsible to let someone out to sea with such bad boats. Best regards Dennis
