Nikša is a very experienced skipper and knows the area very well. His boat is quite large with 4 cabins, he uses one and there are 3 available that have each a bathroom and a bed that can accommodate 2 people. We had a blast during 4 days and he was super nice with the kids answering all their questions and showing them how to sail. Highly recommended!
We had a very nice trip on the boat with Niksa, who is a very good skipper, caring for the people on his boat. even if the wetter was not fantastic, we made the most out of it :-)
Niksa and his boat are great. The boat is plenty big for 6 people, each cabin has its own washroom, and there is good cooking equipment. Niksa himself is amazing, he’s a fun guy to talk too, is very flexible, teaches a bit about sailing, super safe, and just wants everyone to have a good time. I would 1000% book with Niksa again.
Very nice/clean boat, it was big and comfortable for 6 guests. Captain took us to amazing spots, hidden from the typical touristic ones which was very cool. If you want to spare uncomfortable moments I recommend agreeing in advance to a plan regarding the cities you want to visit, type of trip, etc., since the captain isn’t flexible at all, and likes to decide the routes and where you dock himself.
We, a family of 4 (2adults/2kids) had a week of great joy and sea adventure on the beautiful waters of Dalmatia. Starting from Split we all had a good click with Captain Nikša, captain of his own sail yacht and his life:)! Nikša is a relaxed captain who takes great care and shows responsibility at all moments crossing the seas. Every stop provided beautiful memories for life: quiet bays , beautiful swim spots, sunsets and cozy harbor nights…. Nature was full of beauty and even surprises: dolphin passings and underworld sealife (bring your snorkel gear!!). Nikša appreciates private family moments but he is also a great guy to have around for a lunch or a drink. And… if you show interest you can definitely help with sailing or even sail (which I enjoyed so much). Every day we could raise the sails and let the wind guide us to our destinations…. As mentioned before in other reviews, Marina costs, captain dinners and final clean up cost are on top of the rent. We would highly recommend Nikša! Big thanks, Peter & family
Hello, I have now returned from vacation and am posting my review a bit late. The week spent on the Niksa Boat was great and we remember it with great joy (We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers). The boat is very comfortable and Niksa is a very good skipper because beyond his mastery of the sailboat which gave us total confidence, he was able to adapt to our requests, make us discover incredible places, preserved coves... He knows how to be present when we need him and discreet when necessary. In short, go there with confidence because whatever your desires Nifsa will be able to adapt and you will spend a great week in a magnificent country.
Beautiful and spacious boat. Discrete and competent skipper. Amazingly beautiful trip.
We had a SUPERB time with Niksa - Our trip definitely exceeded our expectations! We were initially concerned about booking with Niksa given there was only 1 review on Click & Boat, but we were so glad we went with him. Niksa has 7+ years of experience in sailing charters, however he had to change his account and restart his review process which explains the lack of reviews. We were a party of 3, and did a 4D/3N charter with Niksa. It was our first time doing a charter sail and left Niksa to plan our itinerary and it worked out great. Our brief was just to visit the 3 islands Brac, Hvar and Vis. He tooks us to beautiful hidden bays along the way to soak up the sea and sun, and showed us the real Croatia - off the beaten track. Niksa truly made our trip special. He is in his mid-30s and owns his boat, Dekotan (which means “Healer”). Niksa is fun, accommodating, passionate and easy-going. He is open-minded and LGBTQ friendly too. We liked that the Skipper fees were included (no additional charge), and our charter began at 11am and ends at 4pm - which was a plus point vs other charters. The boat is not air-conditioned, so it can get warm on nights where there is no breeze. We did get used to it after the first day, and what better way to cool-off than to jump in the sea! Overall, highly recommend and will book again! Pro-tips: 1. Pack soft bags as opposed to hard-case trolley bags (for space and logistics). 2. Book some restaurants (especially in Vis!) a day in advance - we really enjoyed Boccadoro in Vis. 3. Be sure to buy provisions ahead of time and do not forget to buy ice! 4. Bring your own toiletries and lots of suncreen! Don’t worry, Niksa provides fresh towels, sheets and blankets. We brought our own bluetooth speakers. 5. Keep an open-mind, trust & respect your skipper and remember you are living on a sailboat not at home ;) Note: Marina fees (expect to pay around 1000HRK per night), fuel (we spent around 1400HRK for our trip, but this varies depending sailing/wind/routes/etc), provisions, skipper meals and tips - are NOT included which is normal for charters.
We had a fantastic time on Niksa's boat. The boat if fully equipped, very spacious, and in flawless condition. There is also a dingi / rubber boat which proved to be really useful. Niksa himself was a great host and skipper. Very easy going, accommodating and helpful, yet never obtrusive and respects his guests' privacy. We felt like at home.
Great moments aboard the Dekotan! Nikiša is very professional, kind, speaking very good English. He loves sailing and takes no risks. He knew how to adapt to our desires, and our needs, while making us discover his magnificent region. We spent 6 dream days: a real disconnect! I highly recommend!
