Yacht charter in Zeewolde · Dufour — 2800 (1986)

We rented this boat last weekend and sailed to Urk. It was a beautiful trip on the Ketelmeer and IJsselmeer lakes. The boat sails very well and the sails are in good condition. It has some signs of wear, but that also makes for a relaxing cruise. The communication was excellent. We received a very warm welcome from Marijke, even though we couldn't arrive until much later. The boat delivery also went smoothly, which was very pleasant. One minor issue was that the refrigerator wasn't working properly. Despite contacting us by phone and finding a solution for the battery, the situation didn't improve significantly. Also, check the life jackets upon arrival; one was missing. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. For anyone who enjoys an adventurous boat trip, this is definitely recommended!

Heavy rain—disinterested owner. Ridiculous condition of the boat. We recently rented the Dufour 2800 for our vacation. Unfortunately, we have to say that the experience was quite disappointing. Although we were very attracted to the idea of a sailing vacation, we encountered several disappointments along the way that significantly impacted the atmosphere and comfort. Upon arrival at the agreed-upon time, we had to wait almost two hours at the boat, which made for a messy and unpleasant start to the trip. This prevented us from making a good first impression. Unfortunately, the boat itself was not in the condition you would expect for a vacation home on the water. It was not clean upon arrival, so we had to do a lot of work ourselves to be able to depart comfortably. There were also several technical issues, including leaks above the bed and in the forepeak during rainfall, a broken dining table inside, and missing or malfunctioning components such as reef lines and batteries. We also missed a clear explanation of the onboard equipment. We would have appreciated a little more attention and care during the handover and explanation. While the boating itself was still enjoyable, all these points significantly impacted our holiday experience. It's a shame that our concerns about this weren't taken seriously afterward – the response that we should "just eat outside" when we mentioned the broken table seemed rather dismissive to us. All in all, we unfortunately cannot recommend this particular boat and this experience. We hope that in the future, more attention will be paid to the boat's condition and communication with renters, so that others can enjoy a carefree and enjoyable time on the water.

We spent four days on the boat and it was absolutely wonderful! The owner was very friendly and easy to communicate with, always available. We're new to sailing and had a lot of fun on the boat. Everything a boat should have. We'd love to go back!!!

Very good man!

Partly because of the weather and partly because of problems with the engine we were offered a free weekend by the landlord. That says enough about how the weekend was. Arjen did his utmost to solve everything.. better luck next time..

We rented the boat for a long weekend and sailed from Zeewolde to Urk. The boat has everything you need and the owner is 100% reliable, responding within minutes if you have any questions. Great value for money! I can only recommend it!!!

Very pleasant contact with the landlord. Unfortunately, the equipment does not match the description: there is no TV, nautical charts, log, furling mainsail, etc. It is a beautiful old boat that is unfortunately a bit old and is no longer in good technical condition. The cleanliness could also have been better.

It was a very nice holiday, nice owner, very uncomplicated handling and handover, the boat was good-natured and easy to handle with two people. Only the maintenance and cleanliness could be a little better.

Everything is fine, good communication with the boat owner. Boat is a bit older, but fully functional. We had a very nice sailing trip.

Great boat, sails great, but old. Very nice: toilet on board, diesel heater (for the cold Dutch evenings) and headroom in the cabin.

The owner, Arjen, was very welcoming and available throughout the rental. The boat is rather worn, but remains comfortable and easy to maneuver. Only negative point, only two life jackets are available on board.
