Four night stay without skipper on the boat was a lot of fun. We sailed around las Islas Cíes and Rio de Pontevedra. Navion or another navigation app is necessary, as the depth finder is not reliable. The auto pilot does not work. The boat sailed beautifully, and all the motor worked great. The comfort pack with the paddle board and the dingy was really helpful to get onto the beautiful beaches. Luis and company were great getting us on the boat.
Thanks a lot for charter in this lovely place! Boat is clean, good partnership and normal talk during acceptance and return process. Yacht had some things that require technical attention, but the owner was online, helped during charter and promised to make service after. I'm already waiting for next sailing days!
The service and communication were fantastic. They didn't hesitate to show up at the port to resolve a minor issue, and everything was made easy.
We enjoyed a few wonderful days sailing the Cíes and Ons. The boat was in perfect condition and everything worked perfectly. Luis and Ivanna provided exceptional service: they arranged the necessary permits and, most importantly, they patiently and clearly assisted me with the docking maneuvers upon my return. Their instructions were very useful and provided peace of mind, something greatly appreciated when you're not used to maneuvering daily. Without a doubt, a highly recommended experience.
Everything went as agreed and everything was very easy.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves aboard Avalon II. There were seven of us, and we were able to explore the estuaries as far as Arousa, passing through Cíes and Salvora, alternating between anchorages and ports. The boat is very comfortable for life on board. The boat sails well and is in good condition. It's true that you have to keep in mind that it doesn't have a plotter or depth sounder. You must have your own navigation equipment. An extra winch handle would be helpful, as would new mooring lines. Luis was attentive at all times from day one and facilitated our permits to access the islands. Check-in and check-out were very smooth with José Luis. Highly recommended experience
Excellent experience, ideal boat. There were 9 of us (6 adults and 3 teenagers) plus a skipper, so it was a perfect fit. The skipper was very friendly, explaining the boat, navigating the estuaries, the movements of the birds, the fishermen, and recommending an itinerary and experiences. We left Baiona for Barra, went for a swim (paddle boarding and zodiac included) and had lunch there. Then we went to San Martiño Island in the Cies Islands (one of the most beautiful beaches I've seen), and on the way back, we circled it. Some dolphins came close to say goodbye to the day. An excellent day and an even better experience. Very easy booking and excellent service with Luis. Thank you very much, we will come back.
The boat perfectly meets the basic requirements. It's well-maintained, and the person in charge (Luis) is excellent. For this reason alone, I recommend the boat. However, it's worth mentioning that it lacks some navigation equipment, such as a plotter. Be sure to bring charged cell phones to access digital nautical charts like Navionics, as there are dangerous areas in the Vigo estuary with shallow rocky bottoms.
