boat hire in Cagliari · Sea Ray — 455 Sundancer (2010)

Best day of our lives! We booked Sea Ray for 24th July for a private boat tour for 4 people for myself and my best friend's 50th Birthday. As we approached the boat we were blown away as it was absolutely stunning, we were then warmly greeted by Nicole who was an English deck hand (interpreter) and Roberto our Sardinian Skipper. From the moment we stepped aboard everything was seamless, relaxing and truly luxurious. We were provided with water, a few snacks and were able to take our own food and drinks which Nicole served to us throughout the day. There was plenty of shaded seating, and up-front sunbathing loungers as well as a kitchen and bathroom. We had a full day excursion and visited Devils Saddle, Mare Pintau and the last destination the skipper's suggestion, this place was stunning, the Sea was so warm and so blue, we moored up played music, swam, played in the sea, sunbathed, had food and drinks, the water was calm and the weather was perfect. Nicole and Roberto were exceptional and clearly very experienced, Roberto not only made us feel safe the entire time, but he also shared interesting facts about the area, we felt like we had made a true friend by the end of the day. Roberto was amazing and so professional. From the moment I messaged him with an inquiry to meeting him at the dock. Our day was an unforgettable experience . Roberto was a great host/captain! He showed us around the sea and provided a very comfortable ride. He brought out some espresso in the afternoon and shared some goodies that his family makes at home. It was a wonderful trip and I would recommend booking Roberto to enjoy your day around Sardinia!

So I’m going to be completely honest. The Gide was nice and friendly…. But after paying in advance months prior, when it came time for my trip I received a cancellation notice because the boat Gide said he had not received the payment. Mind you this was $1,078 booking. It was days before my trip and everything was already booked and ready to go, so I told the Gide since he couldn’t assist me I’d pay the booking again and dispute it with my credit card company. He wasn’t able to help and I still wanted to continue my long and awaited trip according to planned. There was a detail in the initial booking has not included… sure it’s not a cheap rental no problem. I was anticipating $200.00 or less lol noooooo he took us to the boat gas station and charged us $450.00!!!!! Lmfao. So I’m not trying to be cheap but $1,087.00 plus another 1,087.00 if my credit card company disputes the double charge plus $450.00 gas for a 8 hour boat ride?? Ummmm not for me. At this point we are all so thrown off we dismiss it since we are already locked in. I didn’t realize this rental was more like a rental to hang out with this guy than a boat rental. We weren’t welcome in the boat room area without him present. Is was more like coming on to his boat and being a guest in his home. After paying this ridiculous amount of money you’d think I have full access to the entire boat while I’m here for the time I paid. No. Great moving on. After hanging out with this guy for about 2 hours he starts driving into the middle of no where. I had no idea where we were going so I asked him where we were going and I wasn’t comfortable in such a unfamiliar territory and I wanted to go back. He replied relax and everything was fine…. Ok sure wether everything was fine or not. I paid you. I asked not to proceed and to go back to where I was comfortable. Af this point I realized I was just a guest on board. I was wrongfully charged almost $4000.00 to be a guest on some random guys boat and had to accompany him the entire trip I decided to leave early. Mind you I had to ask 4 different times to please take me back. After the final request to take us back he dropped us off at the boat gas station where there was no taxi of Uber or way out except to walk 1 hour and 30 minutes to the pick up area. No hard feelings but definitely a expensive lesson learned. I wasn’t going to leave a review but this company had sent several text and emails so finally I gave them what they wanted.

A wonderful day with me 6 friends! Roberto is very nice, and the boat is ideal to relax all the day long, to have lunch and to go to the different coves ! :)

We had a wonderful tour of several scenic areas around Cagliari and some great swimming. A nice sampling of local food and drink. Roberto was very generous with his time and we could have stayed swimming longer but wanted to spend a few minutes checking out Old Town Cagliari before we had to head back to our cruise ship. Definitely very happy we did this boat tour!
