Click and Boat are a broker, and did a great job in helping us select and book the right boat in the right place. NSS Charter then took over the booking preparation and supply of the boat. Benedetta from NSS delivered us a Great boat owned by Simone. It was a new 2022 Lagoon 46 with a great skipper (Antonello) - the best we have ever had But at the Marina, NSS needs to improve on the “basics” that come with the boat and learn from established charter groups like Sunsail to make it easier for boat renters. For instance we were very surprised that basic essentials are not provided with the boat, even though we paid extra for the “comfort pack” (which included sheets and pillow cases - how can those be considered a comfort extra?) There were no towels. The rental of towels was 18 Euros for the week per person (you can buy new in the supermarket for around 10 Euros!). There were no spare toilet rolls. There was no salt and no pepper, no sugar, no mention of the coffee machine on board (which needed espresso pods). So what happens to all those basics when the previous charterers leave?! There was a good tender (inflatable) attached to the boat, with a 23 HP outboard motor, but we were told we had to pay “extra” (190 Euros) to use the outboard motor! Why - surely that’s an “essential” not an extra? We paid for a BBQ, 110 Euros for the week - note: you can buy it new for 90 Euros! It was the size of a small dinner plate (and we were 8 people!) and needed coals and firelighters which were not supplied by NSS and it didn’t fit on the boat railing. We therefore returned it and were told (at the end of the week) by the office that we could not have a refund because “Italian accounting rules don’t allow for refunds!!!” It was a lovely week, but NSS should provide all the basics that a traveler needs and not over charge for extras - which ultimately cost an additional 500+ Euros!
