Our first family sailing experience was a real success, thanks to our attentive skipper, Franco. A seasoned sailor with racing experience, the boat owner guided us towards the perfect balance of intense sailing and a relaxed beach experience on the east coast of Sardinia. It was a great way to spend the first week of our sailing holiday with the family (with two kids). Grazie mille, capitan Franco!
We had the most incredible 5-day charter in Sardinia with Captain Franco. He is truly the nicest and sweetest person I’ve ever met. Not only does he know Sardinia like the back of his hand, but he also took us to the most stunning hidden spots and beaches we never would have found on our own. He’s an incredibly skilled sailor and made us feel safe and comfortable the entire trip. On top of that, Franco is a fantastic chef — he prepared us delicious dinners every night on board, making the experience even more special. I can’t recommend him highly enough for anyone looking for an unforgettable sailing trip in Sardinia.
We had a wonderful week on Franco's boat. Franco is a professional captain/boat owner and at the same time Franco is a very warm and accommodating person. We were a couple with 4 young adults (age 16-23) and we all enjoyed the company of Franco. Franco made an effort in showing us beautiful beaches, charming ports and crystal clear blue water for swimming. We also enjoyed Francos delicious pasta dishes a couple of nights. We can strongly recommend spending your holiday with Franco on his beautiful boat.
We loved loved sailing with Franco and his son Federico. Franco is so welcoming and a genuinely warm and good humored person. We shared meals together everyday. My partner and I were able to experience Sardinia with some locals, which was extra special. Franco made extra effort to let us visit and see the places where we wanted to go to. It was a beautiful and very memorable voyage with Franco and his son. You might get a fancier boat that costs more money, but you would not get the value and not get the wonderful time and experience with Franco.
We sailed with Franco with our two teenage sons. He took us to beautiful beaches, we had great food and spent a night among dolphins. Franco is a great host, with interesting information and good conversation. All of us thoroughly recommend this trip.
Amazing host, like part of the family
Franco and his wife are both good people, but professionalism is another matter entirely. The boat is in terrible condition. The upholstery is worn and torn, the mattresses smelly. The furniture stinks, as does the bathroom, which, in addition to being smelly, is unpresentable, with requests to limit use of the shower head, which was in the sink. The shower is only outside, but it was broken. So we used the ones in the ports for the bathroom and shower. But aside from the boat, I had virtually no choice about where to go. For every beach he suggested, there was always a reason not to go: the wind, the landing... Only yesterday and today did I make two stops, one at Pevero and one at Capo di Coda Cavallo beach. In both cases, he didn't know if we could get to shore with the tender. We wanted to see the beaches of La Maddalena, and he didn't take us there, but to Budelli, where it hadn't been possible to stop on the beach for five years. The icing on the cake was that he was supposed to come pick us up and then drop us off in Golfo Aranci, but that wasn't the case. On the way there, we ended up at the cove, 30 km further south. On the way back, he left us in Porto Istana because he was on his way back to the cove. A disgrace. Click&Boat should check more carefully who he recommends. It's not done like that; a total disappointment. Best regards.
We had an extraordinary experience sailing with Franco around Sardinia. He was responsible for planning the itinerary, always keeping an eye on the conditions and seeking out the best beaches and coves. He knows how to combine safe sailing with adventure, and he did it in a very relaxed way, considering we're a family with a 4-year-old boy. We immediately felt at ease with Franco, as if he were an uncle we'd known all our lives. We talked about sailing, culture, politics, and of course, food! Thank you Franco, from the bottom of our hearts. I hope this is the first of many sailing trips around Sardinia ❤️
What a stay! We left with friends (4 people) for 4 days and 3 nights on Franco's sailboat. It was exceptional! Franco is an adorable, funny host who always has a story to tell! Communication was very smooth. We saw beautiful landscapes and we ate the best pasta of our week, prepared by Franco! A huge thank you to Franco and Federico for their welcome!
We had a more than pleasant stay with Franco who is an exceptional host. Beyond being an excellent navigator, he is also an excellent cook who likes to share his passions. It is an unforgettable moment and an encounter that will remain in time.
