The water sports area is extensive and completely sufficient for long and great exploration trips. First things first. We are rather new to boating. At first the boat seemed really big to us. But: once cast off and a little time to get to know it, it goes really well with the boat and on the water of the Grou. Maneuver slowly, don't feel hectic, water and boat and it's a real holiday in a really, really great environment on the absolutely beautiful waters. The rule is: let your soul dangle, yes, that is 100% possible here. The other water sports enthusiasts, whether sailors or motorists, are very friendly. If you are unsure, just slow down the engine and wait. Observe the others and then the other or you drive first. Basically you drive on the right (like in traffic) and pay attention to each other. Calm is what matters on the water. Time just stands still. We never looked at the clock. Just to get up the next day to get back on the water quickly. And then it's vacation. When crossing one should pay attention to others. Then it's very relaxed. The landlord Geert is always available. The car is safe and fenced off on the private property right next to the boat. Loading and unloading your own things is very easy. In the village itself there are great restaurants, bistros and bars and ice cream for the children, for example. . Something for everyone. One is understood very well there and is gladly seen. Even if you don't speak the Frisian/Dutch language. You feel welcome in every situation. To those who are still hesitating, let me tell you...
