Our experience was quite bad...firstly, the boat we had booked was not the boat we sailed on. The day before our reservation, I contacted Francesco via whatsapp, the captain of the boat we had booked, so that he could advise us on the meeting point at the Piano de Sorrento maria and also on the need to take ice to the on board, as we would bring drinks and something to eat. Francesco then said that I should make contact with Amedeo (who according to him would be his skipper) and that I arrange the details with him...I immediately contacted Amedeo, and he gave me the location of the marina. He told me that although the time was scheduled for 9:00 on 23/08, we would only leave at 9:30, we agreed. I asked about the need to bring ice on board to cool the drinks we were taking, and Amedeo said it wasn't necessary as the boat was equipped with a good refrigerator. I too, had arranged with Francesco a parking spot that he had said he would reserve for our cars (2) and he informed at the time that he would reserve the spaces for the cars at no cost at the marina, but When we arrived, Amedeo greeted me in a bad mood and arranged parking spaces (which we only later discovered would have to be paid for at a cost of $25 Euros per car. This Amedeo, in fact, was not the skipper of Franceso's bard, but the owner of another boat of the same size, but much older than the boat we rented. He complained about the amount of drinks and things we had taken and the fridge he provided didn't fit almost anything, as it was full of personal items, as he lived on the boat. The cabins could not be used, as they were for the exclusive use of the captain (Amedeo). The boat had worn sails and could barely accommodate the 6 passengers. The captain was full of rules and very bad-tempered. According to message histories, we had planned to coast along the coast and disembark in Capri for lunch and stay there for a couple of hours to get to know the town a little, but when we arrived close to the island of Capri, the Captain (Amedeo) said he couldn't anchor, as the waters were very deep and the length of his anchor was not enough, but we insisted on disembarking and he asked for a boat to be supported on land (which had to be paid at a cost of another 30 Euros) simply so that we could disembark. Practically the route was sailed using only the engine, as there was little wind and the day was very hot, the drinks were not cold and as there was no space in the boat's fridge we had to make do with water provided by Amedeo. The place is quite beautiful and the navigation was smooth, but the captain was not friendly and pleasant, he complained about our neoprene shoes which had black soles and which according to him left stains on the hull. In short, the experience wasn't worse because the nature was quite beautiful and the day was sunny and with calm seas, but the hospitality and cordiality, in addition to the fact that the boat was not the same as shown in the photos and the agreed payment (paying for disembarking on the island, diving in the Blue Grotto, which didn't happen, and having to pay for parking) totally frustrated expectations.
Vito and Eugenio was two very good skipper ! With them we feel like friends on a sailing trip. They know a lot about the Costa amalfitana. Everything was great !
This was a wonderful experience! The crew was very friendly and flexible to take us wherever we wanted, stopped for us to swim and provided beverages and food. Would 100% recommend this experience if you wish to have a great day out on the sea.
We had a great time sailing with Ettore, our skipper. He was very friendly and kind to explain everything we asked, and told us great stories about the history of the place. The sandwiches were amazing, and lots of beers and water to drink. Definetely would reccomend to rent this boat.
Excellent experience definitely worth repeating, professional skipper (Alessandro) attentive to our every little need, very knowledgeable and helpful. We were 2 adults, 1 7 year old child and an infant.
An absolute shame, I would have liked the skipper of the photos and the condition of the boat in the photos. We left an hour late with a newly hired skipper for 10 days (as he explained to us), all improvised, he did not know the boat, he did not know the area. The sailboat was a nutshell and it took us at 4 knots to Capri, 2 hours and 45 minutes NON-STOPPING, BECAUSE IT TOLD US THE ANCHOR MOTOR WAS NOT GOING. When we arrived in Capri, he did not have a license to dock in Marina Grande, he brings us closer to a private area "Tiberio" and after much discussion the skipper with those who transferred the boat to that private area they got us down WITHOUT LETTING HIM HOLD ON TO THE BUOYS. When we got to the private area the owner did not let us go to the bathroom or eat or sit because NO ONE HAD RESERVED, after calling Francesco the contact who rents the sailboat countless times, he spoke with the owner, who insulted us, reprimanded us and they returned us to the The scene is a married family with two children abandoned and insulted by mismanagement. After returning to the sailboat it was 2:30 p.m. WITHOUT DRINKING OR EATING OR GOING TO THE BATHROOM. I ask the skipper what the situation is without eating or being able to go to Capri and she tells me that if I want to eat there is a bag with 4 sandwiches and two small bags of potatoes. We decided to call the police and so I communicated it to Francesco, the contact who, given our firm decision to be rescued by the port police, sent us a transfer from Capri port to take us there ... as long as the skipper does not believe it. He deployed a sail or dropped an anchor or docked in any area. He told us to return in less than an hour because rough seas were preparing and it would take at least THREE HOURS TO RETURN TO 4 KNOTS. Of course, WE DIDN'T RETURN, we went to the Capri police headquarters and reported the incident, we enjoyed the island as much as possible, and we returned by ferry in 20 minutes. NEITHER BATH OR APPETIZER NEITHER FOOD OR MOORING IN CAPRI NOR GROTTA AZURRA NOR FARAGLIONI. JUST A SHAME. Miss Patricia and the team of Click&Boat advised us at all times and indicated that the expenses generated would be reimbursed to us, the expenses of the ferry and a meal have been returned to us by Click&Boat. The rest are enjoyed by those who did not comply with the tour ....
Beautiful experience, available on everything, even to leave the sails in the hands of a non-expert !! Definitely to try !!
