Overall rating
We would like to say in advance that our original intention was to simply return the boat and not share our anger with anyone else. However, since they tried to "fool" us in an impudent way with the toilet seat and our complaints were completely ignored, we will summarize this briefly. Acceptance of the boat: The toilet seat broke during proper use, which can be confirmed under oath, and we reported this in advance. If this is not a material defect, we will of course cover this damage. They wanted to keep €300.00 for this damage even though we had informed them of the price range for similar products of around a sixth, and €400.00 was also kept from the deposit. Technical defects of the boat: The radio control of the bow and stern steering temporarily stops working, maneuvering the boat is extremely difficult for inexperienced captains and dangerous in wind and waves. According to a harbor master, the shore power cable is not approved for this boat and certain areas, which is why we had to change our original route planning. The power generator is not able to supply several electrical devices at the same time, which is why we could not spend the night on the water and always had to call at harbors with a power supply. The left windshield wiper was already broken when we took over the boat and this boat cannot be controlled in the rain. The number of life jackets does not correspond to the number of people booked, which is why we also had to change our travel route. We did not find a boat manual or one was not shown to us. The bimini was broken and did not fit or was incorrectly installed. Using the boat on the routes planned for us with the non-functional bimini was extremely difficult or impossible. Organizational deficiencies: The boat was not instructed by any qualified personnel (fenders were incorrectly attached, cleats were incorrectly used and the boat was not properly secured to the dock (which resulted in scratches on the stern of the boat) and only took around 15 minutes as no boat-specific explanations were given in some cases, such as how to enter/operate the control units, etc. We also had to give the boat's height measurements in advance and during the briefing. Despite promises, we are still waiting for this information today. How are we supposed to carry out our planned routes without this information? There should have been enough maps on board, although none were found, and when we handed it over, we were asked, as a cheek, whether we had run aground anywhere!!! We were also told during the briefing that there was no air conditioning, although it is listed as an equipment feature in the click&Boat profile. Well, we found this after our own research. Other deficiencies: The boat was not clean when we took it over and this was also communicated and shown to the two people during the briefing. The number of towels did not correspond to the number booked and the towels that were available were dirty and some had holes in them. The number of chairs on the outside deck that had been discussed was also different to what had been discussed. There was only one chair instead of three in addition to the existing bench, which meant that we could not use this area together as a family. Many cupboards contained opened food, etc. There was mould in the coffee machine's grounds drawer because it had not been cleaned either. Something stuck to the oven handle, and much more. And after all of that, when we returned the boat, we were asked to pay for a toilet lid. If the lid was damaged to the tune of €400.00, what are our aforementioned inconveniences and missed holiday fun worth? It's really a shame that we addressed the defects directly and nothing came from the charter company, apart from the inappropriate behaviour when handing over the boat.
