Whether you're looking for a swim in the nearby lakes or a tour through Berlin's city center, our mooring at Lakeside on Lake Seddin offers you every opportunity for an exciting and relaxing time on the water. Discover Germany's capital city on your own or with us, and let us take you to the city's hotspots. Have you always wanted to peek into the Federal President's garden, or simply cruise in style to the main train station or the next party? With guided tours led by real Berliners, that's possible too. Of course, you can also simply explore the beautiful lakes in the east or west of Berlin and unwind. Swim in the crystal-clear Kalksee near Woltersdorf, try the water skiing course on Lake Crossin for a bit of action, or let yourself be enchanted by the canals in New Venice. Speaking of Venice, Berlin has more bridges and more kilometers of navigable waterways than the lagoon city itself. Of course, culture shouldn't be overlooked in Berlin. A tour to Potsdam, the Cathedral, the Reichstag Building, the Federal Chancellery, or Wannsee Lake is a great option. There's so much to discover. We make it possible. You can rent a Bock-uff-Boot for a day, a week, or even just a weekend. Contact us and we'll find a solution. You can even sleep on the boat. The mattresses from the berth can be used to create a cozy spot for two inside. Of course, it's also suitable for one person. Even if you don't want to travel to the lovely Schmöckwitz (where the boat is moored), you can still rent a Bock-uff-Boot. Talk to us and we'll find an alternative pick-up location in the city. To operate a Bock-uff-Boot, you need a BBF Binnen (German inland waterways license). But as mentioned, to experience the magic of Berlin on the water, we'll gladly provide you with an experienced skipper. This is possible even without a boating license and is much more relaxing. A word about the prices: These do not include fuel. Fuel is calculated based on consumption at current prices. 50 liters plus a 20-liter reserve are provided on board. You can use the reserve canister to refuel as needed. However, you'll only really need to do this if you're out for more than a day. If you book a day with a skipper, the price will be determined individually, according to your needs. €280 is the price for 4 hours. This would include, for example, a trip from the Oberbaum Bridge, along the Landwehr Canal into the Spree River, and back again via the Mühlendamm Lock. We look forward to seeing you!

It was fun
The boat essentially got us to our destination, but there were several issues that significantly limited the trip. The seats weren't permanently attached, which reduced comfort during the ride. Furthermore, there's neither a fuel gauge nor a speedometer on board. The day started with a delay in the morning, as David was about 20 minutes late for the handover, meaning we had to wait even before we started the trip. Shortly afterward, we had to invest an additional hour or so just to get the engine running. This required starting fluid, swapping batteries, and pumping fuel until the engine finally started. This hour was deducted from our cruising time – and yet we were still billed in full. I found that very unfair; normally, you would be billed for this time, not the other way around. During the trip, the engine suddenly stopped because the first tank was empty. To switch to the second, you had to climb aft, put a cushion aside, open a hatch, and swap the tank – in our case, this even happened with oncoming traffic. The old two-stroke engine consumes a noticeably high amount of fuel. They charged €2 per liter – something we weren't informed of in advance. I can generally understand the price, as transporting the canisters to the boat is obviously a hassle. But spending an hour getting the boat seaworthy, deducting that time from the rental period, and then offering no concessions in terms of price, unfortunately, I find it uncustomer-friendly. Because of these points, we won't rent here again. We compensated for the broken cell phone mount on the boat during the trip. Apart from the points mentioned, however, David was friendly in his communication.
We rented the boat for two days and one night. We had a great time with friends during the day and a peaceful night on the Wannsee just the two of us. It's a bit cramped for sleeping, but it worked surprisingly well. The boat ran great because we received a very good introduction to the details. Operating the engine requires a bit of finesse if you're renting the boat for several days, but you get great instructions and helpful tips at all times. Thanks again for the stylish boat, and we'd love to come back.
