Boat rental in Capo d'Orlando · Beneteau — Oceanis 51.1 (2020)

We rented this particular boat because it had air conditioning in the cabins and salon. When we checked in on Friday, only 2 of the 4 cabins had air conditioning working. We stayed at port until mid-day Saturday in order for maintenance to repair the problem. We were originally schedule to depart port Friday. With the assurance of the HVAC repairman who traveled 2 hours both on Friday and Saturday to repair we left port confident that the problem had been fixed. It was not. We spent the entire week rotating which of the 6 of us would sleep in the air conditioned rooms. Preparing meals in the galley without air conditioning was not pleasant. The cleanliness was not up to our standards with finding popped popcorn in 2 bowls and dishes not cleaned. We tried using the dishwasher and it would not complete its cycle so we did not have use of it either. The starboard aft cabin’s bathroom’s floor drain (was told it was automatic) did not work and was smelly with the old standing water. To use it you had to hold the pump button until cleared and everyday water would come through keeping the floor wet. The engineers that were on the boat repairing items stained the galley cushions with their dirty clothes and used our dish towels cleaning the engine. The swim ladder did not fit properly into the notches on the swim deck making it impossible to use without someone on deck holding it down. We made the best of the trip and with this being our 4th charter and first with Click&Boat, I’m not sure we will return. All the above was reported during the charter and in writing after the charter to the charter company.
