MARE 5.5m - 80hp
The Mare 5.50 is a 5,5m Motorcraft, reliable and safe boat that can easily host 6 people. With the 4-stroke, 80hp Mercury, it gives a cruising speed of 21knots to its passengers, with less than 1L per mile, and a full speed of 35knots. The boat has shade, and is comfortable to ride on. This boat is available from Chora Sfakion (Sfakia) on the south coast of Chania. From Sfakia you can easily explore the south coast all the way along to Agia Roumeli (village at the end of Samaria gorge, no roads!) and also the remote and beautiful beaches and villages (Agios Pavlos, Marmara marble beach, Loutro fishing village again no roads!), Sweet water Glyka Nera beach and Illingas beach - the options are many, you will not get bored! We will give you all the tips you need and of course a detailed briefing upon rental. A coastal waters motorboat license issued in an E.U. member state and also written in ENGLISH and a valid ID/passport is needed to be presented on the day of rental. It was not mention on the add but it’s actually a renting boat company. We spent an amazing day with our skipper Stefanos. He brought us to local spot almost empty. He kindly took pictures of us and the landscape to send it at the end of the day. However be careful, there was a misunderstanding from the manager who tried to made us paid the skipper twice.
We rented a boat with a captain for a day. The communication during booking was fast and easy. When we arrived at the agreed time point in the Office it was a bit chaotic and took about 30 min to get going even though it could have taken 5-10 min if they had checked the booking immediately as we had already paid and had a captain. Also it would be nice to be able to see the recommended sailing route on the internet/app during booking. When we got on the boat everything was great and we had a super captain, felt safe and had a wonderful day.
I don’t leave reviews often, but this charter really deserves a great review! The booking & communication with Damulis was quick and uncomplicated. We found the office right away at the harbour and the pick-up of the boat was as well uncomplicated. We appreciated the instructions at the beginning for the best tour and also where to watch out for rocks. It made us feel very safe taking out the boat. The boat was in top condition with a new engine, making the day tour even more fun for us! Also the drop-off was again easy. And most importantly the value for money was top notch! Thanks for a great day Damulis and team!
Boat is not very comfortable, no fun tube available although listed on inventory.

Perfectly organised charter. The team provide us with a great guidance of the coast for our day trip. Nice beaches and small ports to visit. Hope to come back soon. Boat is in perfect shape and whem you return it you go together to the gas station to refill it.
