Boat rental in Hyères · Beneteau — First 456 (1984)
Description of Charles's sailboat
Sailboat Beneteau First 456 14.2m
NEW: Sailing trips in the Port Cros/Porquerolles National Park, departing from the port of Hyères. Free parking. 1) Full day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for groups of up to 10 people. 2) 2 consecutive days with an overnight stay on board in Port Cros for groups of up to 7 people. Charter a 14-meter sailboat and its captain for the cruise of your choice! With family or friends, you'll sail safely within a legal framework, supervised by a licensed, experienced, and insured captain. No special knowledge is required. It's your vacation and it's your boat for the duration of the charter. You'll feel at home on board! YOUR BOAT This is a 14-meter sloop built by the Bénéteau shipyards to a design by German Frers. Excellent sailing performance (especially upwind), smooth movements, warm interiors, wooden interior (teak), generous fittings, complete wardrobe (spinnaker, lightweight genoa, staysail), teak deck, solar panels, platform, swim ladder, cockpit table, motorized tender, etc. Efficient and comfortable: water heater, watermaker, 220-liter refrigerator, multifunction microwave oven, electric toilet, kitchen utensils and tableware for 8 people, etc. The safety equipment and navigation equipment far exceed what is required by regulations: 8-seater raft, DSC VHF, automatic life jackets, radar, autopilot, GPS chart plotter, electronic wind/anemometer, etc. This boat was completely refitted in 2015 and has been perfectly maintained since then. The living space has been expanded: a lookout station under a new roof, a wider saloon, new equipment, upholstery, new bedding, etc. LIFE ON BOARD You enjoy the benefits of being an owner without the drawbacks. You invite the guests of your choice. You organize life on board as you see fit. You decide to extend or shorten ports of call, or to modify the schedule. Depending on the weather and the route, night sailing may be considered to allow you to enjoy ports of call and anchorages longer. The ship's total sleeping capacity and safety equipment allow it to accommodate 8 people for offshore cruising and 10 people for coastal cruising. However, for the success of your cruise, for your comfort, and to preserve everyone's privacy, Quetzal and her captain invite you to limit your number of people to four and to use 2 of the 3 cabins. Rates are also designed to make private charters accessible to a couple with children, two couples of friends, etc. However, groups or families of up to six people are still welcome. In this case, the three double cabins and the forward head are reserved for your exclusive use. A 20% surcharge on the rental amount will be required, payable on site. In this configuration, the captain uses a berth in the saloon, separated by a curtain, and has a private bathroom. The captain is in charge of the boat's maneuvering, navigation, and technical maintenance. If you wish, he shares his knowledge in the areas of your choice: maneuvering, navigation, etc. He also participates in group tasks. When anchored, he drops you off ashore and returns to pick you up for a walk or a meal at the restaurant. YOUR CAPTAIN I've been sailing for 40 years. More unique (and arguably rarer...), I possess all the qualifications required by French law and insurance companies. I am also insured for civil liability for this activity up to €10 million. I am also an accredited instructor for the 200 sailing captain's certificate, which is, to date, the only certificate allowing one to legally assume the role of skipper on a chartered sailboat or a sailboat owned by a charter owner. It certainly doesn't guarantee the captain's good humor or sense of conviviality, but the absence of this certificate exposes you to enormous complications at the slightest incident. Aside from my skills, my experience...and my good humor, I assure you of total discretion before, during, and after your cruise. You be the judge! I am available to answer all your questions and get to know you better before embarking. YOUR CRUISE PROGRAM It is tailored to your wishes and taking into account the composition of your crew. The weather, in summer and in the Mediterranean, rarely disrupts plans but may require some adjustments. We discuss this together before departure. You choose whether to prioritize sailing or time spent at anchor. I guide and advise you, but the decision is yours. A sailboat is more than just a means of transportation. Sailing can bring as much pleasure to the helmsman as it does to the reader of a thriller comfortably stretched out on deck (library on board). Are you drawn to white sand beaches? Do you have children? The program is adaptable to suit everyone. Do you enjoy napping? You will be rocked and delighted. THE PRICES INDICATED IN THE CHARTER RATES These include the rental of the sailboat and its equipment (motorized dinghy, fishing gear, fins, masks, snorkels, etc.) as well as comprehensive insurance. This covers material damage caused to the boat or a third party, as well as bodily injury suffered by the renter or caused to a third party. These prices do not include the captain's services (€350/day), food for the crew, including the skipper, fuel, any port or mooring taxes, or the cleaning fee (€200), which is mandatory after one or more nights on board. Sheets and towels can be provided for €25/person/week. Finally, and as indicated above, a 20% surcharge on the rental amount will be required if you use all three cabins. These additional costs must be paid on site from the first day of rental.

Nous avons passé un très beau week end à Porquerolles sur le bateau de Charles. Bateau confortable et spacieux, Charles très agréable, sympa et arrangeant Je vous le recommande !!!
A wonderful family experience aboard the Quetzal! We will cherish wonderful memories of this cruise aboard the sailboat. The sailboat is very comfortable; we found everything we needed! Charles is a great skipper; he shared his sailing experience with us and let us sail! Thank you for your advice!
The boat fully met our expectations and Charles, the skipper, far exceeded them. In addition, having met a very nice person, Charles knew how to put us very quickly at ease on his boat, even leaving us the feeling of being "at home". Even with a few days of mistral, Charles unearthed little corners of paradise for us and we always felt perfectly safe. Charles knew how to involve the whole family in the pleasures of navigation, he is very professional. We highly recommend Charles and his Quetzal, you won't be disappointed!
We were delighted to make our continent-Corsica crossing with Charles. Indeed, Charles was able to involve us in sailing and we were able to spend very good moments of conviviality together on the boat. Charles adapted to our will and also made us enjoy a beautiful anchorage. Charles' boat is nice, comfortable and allows for easy cooking. Thanks again to you. Lucas
A true sailor and a warm host. We were able to experience his qualities as a navigator, his concern for the safety of his passengers and his penchant for sharing. He was able to combine the wishes of the crew and the vagaries of the weather. A superb week to renew.
Excellent stay with friends on the occasion of a long weekend. Very good times aboard Quetzal and with her Captain Charles. Ideal boat for 4 people. A superb experience to be redone quickly!
Superb first sailing experience aboard the Quetzal in the company of Charles who is a true enthusiast. The boat is comfortable, and Charles likes to share his experience, cohabitation is no problem. Thank you again to him for his availability and the few days spent together.
Pleasant boat with a serious and attentive captain. Good choice guaranteed for a stay with family or friends!
We spent two days sailing and one night in a beautiful anchorage. Charles the skipper is very professional and born to everyone at ease. We recommend him and his boat and hope to have the opportunity to sail together again.
Very comfortable boat, clean, very nice cruise, competent skipper and attentive to our requirements. By cons not necessarily recommended with young children.
Beautiful moments very loud it was a treat Thanks to Charles for a nice trip in every sense of the word and I met someone who did not leave me indifferent. To do again with Charles
An excellent experience with a very experienced and super friendly captain with whom we spent a hell of a vacation; we all benefited from his teaching skills to understand the techniques on this boat extremely well equipped both sailing level and comfort level of life inside. Thank you Charles
Cruise a very pleasant week. Charles introduced us to magical anchorages while introducing us to sailing with passion while listening to us. To redo for a crossing to Corsica!
A cool skipper, but very competent. The very marine boat was tested under force 9 and showed its qualities. In a word: experience to renew!
Very nice boat, very clean. Charles is very welcoming and pedagogue. The communication before, during and after the release is well and truly there !! I recommend!!!
Very nice experience that corresponded exactly to what we wanted, good boat, excellent skipper and beautiful weather, we will come back and for longer!
Charles is a seasoned skipper, friendly and rigorous. His yacht of 14 m QUETZAL is very well done with a charm to the old one but with all the modern comfort. Excellent week between Hyères, Port Cros and Porquerolles. We ask for more.
Charles was perfect from start to finish. He knows perfectly the sea, his boat and the region. We really enjoyed it and had great evenings together. Only downside, he does not know how to make the difference to the sound between a cicada and a cricket;) To summarize, I think we will all renew this experience with him.
Charles is a skipper to recommend: He is very attentive to everyone on board, he transmits his knowledge and is involved in the maneuver with great confidence. We spent two very pleasant days between Porquerolles and Port-Cros, Charles has satisfied all our requests: swimming, removal on the islands and return to port in the best conditions. His boat is very well equipped and very well maintained, nothing is missing. We will choose to sail again with Charles for an upcoming experience and strongly advise him.
