As of July 21, 2025, this boat is available for rent from a different rental company. Neat Polyvalk with 4 life jackets, sails, and a 1 hp outboard motor, either with a single battery or a gasoline engine. The electric motor can be used to sail to the lake and from the lake's edge to the mooring. The electric motor is not suitable for sailing on the lake. If you choose the gasoline engine in addition to the sailboat when booking, a surcharge applies. A newer Polyvalk (with a blue bow) has been available since the 2025 sailing season. Suitable for sailing between Aalsmeer Kuddelstaart and the Westeinderplassen. Mooring near Leimuiderbrug. The rental price includes 4 life jackets and an electric outboard motor with battery. M Sailing experience is required. At least CWO1 or equivalent in wind force 2 and 3. At wind force 4, a minimum of CWO2 or equivalent is required. Sailing is not permitted at wind force 5 or higher. Photos of both Valks are included in the advertisement; the newest Valk is available for rent. Please note: unfortunately, we are forced to charge a surcharge if you do not return the sailboat to its mooring at the end of the rental period. This surcharge will be deducted from the deposit.

100% ok: We could conveniently park our car for free on the premisses of the boat owner, just meters away from the boat. We left the harbour with the engine and rigged the boat in the open waters. We then sent pics of our rig to the owner, and we got some tips for improvement back. At the end the owner assisted us with derigging. With weak winds this Valk boat is very easy to rig and sail.
On the up side: Great communication and times. The owner is very responsive and precise. The lake is a very nice place to sail. On the downside: I have one little complain: the Valk is usually a nice boat, very maneuverable, but in this case it was missing one line from the mast that made the hoisting and lowering of the sail a bit difficult. Also the lines of the jib (front sail) sometimes get tangled with the base of the mast. That made it difficult to respond fast to changing wind. But in general I had a good day on the lake.
We spent a really good day in this sailboat. Boat conditions were very good. Ideal for low-windy days (less than 15km/h) Highly recommended

Everything went really well and the sea and the boat were wonderful for a few relaxing hours of sailing. It's not clear from the description, but of course the Polyvalk also has a jib. Thank you for the nice welcome and the uncomplicated handling.

Reinier is a super nice man. Lives across the street from the boat and gives good advice on how the boat works. Boat is equipped with an electric motor and the sails are in good condition. Definitely recommended for a day of sailing!
Due to strong winds we were unable to sail and decided to sail back with the electric outboard motor. But the cable to the battery burned out. There was already tape around the cable, so it was already out of order. Reached the shore with a lot of effort paddling. Fortunately, it was picked up by the landlord.

Nice price-quality ratio
We really enjoyed the Polyvalk on the Westeinder Plassen. Although the boat is certainly no longer a young one, it is in excellent condition and is fully equipped. We were helped professionally and very friendly both upon departure and arrival. The departure point is easy to drive to and there is ample parking. The Westeinder Plassen has several opportunities for recreation, but above all it is large enough for wonderful sailing. There is also a cozy restaurant on the corner of the street where you can have a bite to eat afterwards. In short; this is an absolute must!

Fine Falcon. Not the newest but everything works and you have a nice sailing area. Just do it. there is also a new electric motor on the boat and that makes life pleasant. Have a nice day and definitely worth repeating.
