The Ikigai is an 11m sailing yacht. Cosy, comfortable and in perfect condition, she sails fast and is very reliable and manoeuvrable. It has a perfect length for a day or a weekend at sea as well as for a week's holiday. From June to September I am in Menorca. It is an island I love and I know all its coastline because I have been visiting it by sailboat for many years. From Mahón or Ciutadella we can design together a route to sail around the island and anchor in its beautiful coves where we can bathe during the day and enjoy its beautiful sunsets and sleep in the tranquillity of the night. I know the island by sea and by land so I can recommend places, restaurants, fiestas and shows. Depending on the weather (especially the wind) we will visit the spectacular and well-known coves in the south (Turqueta, Trebaluger, Macarella, Calescoves, Son Saura, Escorxada, ....) or the quieter coves in the north from where we can contemplate wonderful sunsets (Pregonda, Cavalleria, Algaiarens, Es Castell, Son Parc, Mongofre,...). And as we always feel like going ashore for at least a couple of days, we can anchor in the Bay of Fornells or visit Maó and Ciutadella, each with its own charm. I have had a boat since 2008 and six years ago I gave up my life's work to dedicate myself to doing charters with the boat because this way I can combine my passion for the sea and sailing and at the same time share it with the people who come on board. For me it is essential to be at ease and enjoy the wonderful moments that contact with the sea gives us and that is also my main purpose for the people who sail and live together on board the Ikigai, that they feel at home. The Ikigai has three double cabins, a bathroom, kitchen, oven, fridge, living-dining room and a maximum capacity of eight people (including me). Cockpit table, cockpit shower, bimini top, sprayhood, solar panels, dinghy with outboard and paddle surf. Autopilot, GPS-Plotter, fixed and portable VHF radio, radio/CD with interior and exterior speakers, electric windlass, wind equipment, life raft for eight people and Radio Beacon. It has all the safety equipment to sail in zone 2 (up to 60 miles from the coast) and with all the revisions made recently.

We had a wonderful day with David sailing to some of Menorca’s most beautiful locations. Crystal blue water, white sand and beautiful scenery. We went with my 3 young children, partner and my dad so a wide age range and everyone loved it. We stopped for swimming, snorkelling and paddle boarding along the way. David was a wonderful skipper and host, sharing his knowledge of Menorca and sailing, letting everyone sail the boat which will definitely be a memorable experience for us all.

I booked for a day charter to visit different calas. It was an unforgettable experience and we got to see so much more of the island than we could have without his help. We even got to do some sailing when we didn’t initially expect due because the winds were weak. He knows the island very well, too. 100% would book again.
We had a fabulous day onboard the Ikagai, David is a great skipper and a lovely person - nothing was too much trouble and he made sure we all had a great experience on board his beautiful boat. Three nights and three days with David aboard the Ikigai. We're a family of two fifty-something parents and a couple of teenagers. It was a fantastic experience. It was our first time spending the night on a sailboat, but we were delighted. We visited several coves in northern Menorca, arriving in Fornells, where we took the opportunity to step ashore, have dinner, and return to the boat. Paddle boarding, snorkeling, swimming in crystal-clear coves, and a barbecue. Yes, on the Ikigai, you can grill fish and seafood, a real plus for grill lovers. As I said, it was an experience that more than met our expectations. Highly recommended. Thanks for everything, David! A hug from the whole group.
My family and I (three of us) spent a week on David's boat, sailing the entire coastline of our beloved Menorca. With David, we explored beautiful coves, almost always sleeping at anchor under the stars. David is a serious, knowledgeable, and prudent professional. And his coffee, fresh from the morning, in absolute peace, surrounded only by sea and nature, is a true luxury! Thanks, David, see you later!
We spent a week sailing around Menorca and the experience was magnificent. David was an excellent host (and captain), knowledgeable about every corner of the island and made sure we not only saw them but also enjoyed them. An incredible experience, 100% recommended. It's true that with these things, you always have that "fear" of running into someone who isn't very similar to you, but with David, that doesn't happen! He was such a kind, attentive person, always checking in on us to make sure we didn't lack anything, and of course, he took us to the best coves... without a doubt, if we return to Menorca, we would definitely do it again. It was the best day ever.

We are a family of four and we sailed with Ikigai around Menorca for five days. It had been many years since we had gone on a boat holiday. David turned out to be a very competent and reliable skipper. Know all the data that can be useful for a tourist. Patient and discreet, he makes it very easy to feel comfortable despite the cramped interior of a sailboat. Ikigai is very well cared for by its owner. You can immediately tell that he is a person who loves the sea. It was a very pleasant and relaxing experience. Without a doubt recommended.

We have spent a week in the Ikigai, going around Menorca, and it has been perfect: beautiful coves, blue waters, calm sunsets that, together with David's professionalism, kindness, discretion and patience, have constituted a magnificent experience. The sailboat is perfectly conditioned, and we have relaxed to the maximum. Also, David has given us great foodie tips on our forays ashore. It has been a wonderful vacation. We won't forget those liar poker sessions under the stars!

We have spent a super good day with David. We were 7 girls and from the first moment they have been all facilities. The communication, the facilities…. We hired him throughout the day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., we were able to have a barbecue inside the boat, the loudspeaker was amazing, he let us use the Padel Surf board and best of all the route, he recommended us where to go depending on the hours and we have enjoyed it very much. One pass the coves! We recommend David 100% and if we return to the islands we will not hesitate to choose him!
